Former Behold 2 Users Uniting Under HTC Banner...This is Great!

Just wanted to say hey to all my new fellow Mytouch Sliders and say how great it is to see so many of the former behold 2 users (like myself) coming back together with a new, much better phone. We had a great community of users on the behold forum and its nice to see our new home (the mytouch slide forum) coming together in the same way! well enough rambling back to playing with my new toy...just wanted to reach out to everyone

So... has anyone discovered some apps that we now have access to with 2.1 that we didn't with 1.6?

Helix launcher is good if you're not diggin espresso ui...i like espresso myself, but some might want a different feel, and of course we get the official twitter app with 2.1, which i like better then the stock integration with espresso.

i haven't had a lot of time to play with it due to being regional truck driver... but I love the Genius Button, it allows me to text the wife legally while driving the truck (Federal DOT made it illegal for us to text and drive). even with my 500Hp Detroit roaring at full throttle it makes very very few mistakes on the speech to text

Yeah I actually really like this espresso UI... very nice looking. I think even when root becomes available, I'll just get root access to remove stuff but keep the espresso UI going.

And yea... the Genius Button is win.

I LOVE IT!!! Espresso UI isn't bad either.

I was only getting about 1/2 day on a charge, mainly because I was playing with it so much. Installed Advanced task killer and it seems to be helping.

I want to root so I can connect to corporate Cisco VPN. I am still miffed why this hasn't been added to the Android OS... It will be soon though I am sure.

After having the BH2 since Feb, I now realize that I have never experience a smooth Android OS like this. It really is fast - glad I took BH_MAN's advice on this phone!

The BH2 sits on Craig's list now to see if I can get some more coin for it than WallMart will give me.

Took pic of cat...flash made his white fur wash out and the background still fairly dark...I'm gonna mess with it some more, but so far score one (and only one) for the behold2...it's camera is better, but outside is good...gonna try video inside now too.

i just took this pic in my rig only lighting is the radio and the dash switches, came out fine for me... especially considering it was basically completely dark and just using flash

i hit the camera on both my BH2 and my Slide at nearly the same time and I think part of the reason for wash out is the flash is brighter and more focused on the Slide (round on Slide vs. rectangle on BH2)

I hate to say this, but the behold 2 camera was much better guys. Htc can make android sets, but they couldn't make a good camera if their lives depended on it.

And by the way, the camera is Same Quality, Just have to change the settings.. Mine is set on low ( 4 ) in PS to drop the size down. but I can upload another image to Photobucket if you want to see the High res. of this camera.

Yeah Samsung has incredible hardware for the most part... in everything they make. They just fail and can die slowly in a fire.
