ADW.Launcher

It's ADW.Launcher , if you search for that it should pop up. It can be kind of pain to set up initially as there aren't any real instructions but I really like the customization it offers. It's very smooth and hasn't had any crashes or bugs so far.

The weather widget is weatherbug and the sports scores widget is Scoremobile.

So I downloaded the .apk and installed it with APKinstaller, but I can't seem to locate the program on my phone??

I don't use APKinstaller. So you can't see ADW.Launcher in 'Manage Applications' under setting? You might want to install the apk again. If you downloaded straight from the net on your phone, open the browser -> menu -> more -> downloads. You should be able to see the apk file here -> click and install :) Make sure you have 'unknown sources' selected in the Applications settings!

Also, if you have a file management app like EStrong or Astro, you can install the apk from there as well. Just search for the download folder.

I looked on market for adw launcher but no luck? link?

ADW.Launcher requires you to have Android 2.0 or 2.1.

just checked the market and i still dont see it

That is very strange as you have the Droid running 2.1. I have updated ADW.Launcher from the market for the past couple of days. Just updated it today as well...

Roze,

So I downloaded Astro and used that to install my .apk. When I open the App Manager for the ADW.Launcher I am given two options 1) Uninstall 2)Launch.

When I press Launch I get a message "Activity Not Found - org.adw.launcher"

if you have any other suggestions, would be greatly appreciated :)

The apk file may be corrupted. Contact the developer for the latest apk (Google the app for the Dev's webpage). If he doesn't get back to you in a couple of days PM me.

Have you tried LauncherPro? I prefer that to ADW. I find it smoother and now you can have 5 rows of apps instead of 4.

I also would advise you to install Home Switcher if you have 2+ home launchers.

I just got Adw yest. Been playn around with it and im really trying to give this a chance from HTC sense but so far I'm not overly impressed. What is it that people like so much more? No disrespect to the dev. There are a few things that I'd like to see. Can I not add HTC live weather widget to the home screen? Pinch to see all home pages would be a nice addition.
