Keeping the Behold 2

i now have the mytouch slide, but i'll be keeping this crappy behold 2 as well...just for messing with and to have a back up

Ditto but I am not gonna get the slide I am going to wait it out for either nexus or galaxy s but I heard galaxy s doesn't have an led flash and not to mention its also a samsung product... I might just wait till next year or maybe at least my b-day to get a new phone(october 12).

I am, but I'm waiting to see if some kind of settlement/buy off shows up.
And I'm waiting for the N1 to come to stores, and will then "try" to get something from TMO Customer Retention. If not I'm strongly considering getting an Evo.

Well don't expect N1 any time this month T-Mo gets info a month in advanced and my Tmo has no info on it yet.

Prolly about 3 months from now it will hit the stores but thats like august it would already be considered out of date if it gets here in August.

Now that I got a phone I can stand (I am loving my cliq) I thought about using my upgrade on the HD2 just to have that powerhouse phone that is unavailable on android with tmo.

I would be getting the HD2 free anyway with my upgrade.

It will still the best thing on T-Mobile. (I'm not acknowledging the Galaxy S, I'm NOT paying for that) Well, the best is the HD2, but WinMo is useless and I don't feel like waiting around for the XDA folks to get android up and running on it. Maybe they'll have cracked it by the time I'm ready to upgrade.

I agree with that thats why I am going to wait a few months till something better comes out on tmobile. right now it seems that tmo's focus is more so business device ie not android os devices the rumours are crap phones and some exceptional smart phones like the nokia E73. It just seems as if android is not priority to the carrier that brought android out into the world in the first place.

I'm glad that I'm not the only one who is keeping this POS for 1 reason or another it's just a shame that we'll have no support for a phone that is not even a yr. old while most other phones that are smart phones are seeing continued support. I guess that is the end of my rant.

That is why I am keeping my upgrade in my back pocket :)

One can hope that good things are coming with a new CEO. Hopefully he'll bring bigger and better Android phones to the line up and insure that they receive timely updates.

It would also be nice if google stepped in and stated that if you make a phone that meets XYZ hardware requirements then you'll be required to continue provide support until the phone no longer mets said requirements... I know that is a pipe dream but that is the only way the android OS will continue to be viable else it will get very fragmented more than what it is now.

I don't think they could require that under the apache license. Certainly they could switch to another license, but that be about as likely as Eric Schmidt buy everybody with an unupdated phone a new one, out of his own pocket.

I'm keeping the phone.

It works. It works well (Take5) in fact.

To be blunt, I have no reason to replace it at all.

Until the VAST majority of apps no longer work on 1.5/1.6 and there's some MAJOR improvements in hardware in general, I see no need to update to a new phone.

I figure that should be late 2012/early-mid 2013. We should have Terga (or whatever) 3D standard on most of the phones by then, as well as a lot more support for Android as a whole by software companies.

No, I don't think I'll be dropping this one any time soon.

(For the record, any time I replace a phone, the "old" one becomes the company I work for's "On Call" phone, and they subsidise a new one FOR me, so I'm not stuck with a "2-Year Upgrade" routine ;-> They currently use my old Razor >;->)

I'm keeping the BH2 because I bought it without a contract, and because I like the hardware very much. It's nice and compact, and does not try to pretend it's the competitor's phone (if you've seen the pics of Galaxy S you know what I mean). The only other phone I would consider is the Nexus One, but $530 is a lot of money for me.

"u canot get no hd2 for free"...... you talk like that and want to call someone else dumb?

Furthermore walmart sells the HD2 for $99 bucks and if I buy it there I get the purchase price (up to $100) credited onto my account.

Popup for Price Too Low To Show

So I proved you wrong on nobody has it cheaper than $200 and I do get it free.
