no preorder..on the hunt....

im at a best buy waiting. i have no preorder. they have 8 for public consumption and i hope im one of the 8. just noticed there is a sprint store across the street with a couple cats at the door... not a lot of folks but just 2-3. i have my laptop and three stooges in the dvd player.

who else is on the hunt with no preorder?

I am on the west coast (sacramento area) with no pre order. Going to meet up with my sister in law later when she gets off work (6am) so we can wait outside the sprint corporate store. Should be fun, I hope we both get the phones!

Seems like, from what I am hearing that the phone isnt selling nearly as many as most of us were thinking. I am thinking anyone who really wants one today will get one.

Yea I feel the same way but I called my BB in town and they didnt have any extras. I actually called the RS in town too and they said they arent getting any phones in at all. I guess thats what I get for living in a small town! At least I get 3g speeds here.

Hopefully you get the phone! I am going to be watching this forum from my iPhone as I am waiting in line.

Woke up at 6:30am, drove to RS, walked in, waited 5 minutes, bought an EVO no pre-order.
They had NO accessories at all though.

However they did say that I was the 15 EVO sold already (apparently most people were buying 2 or 3) and that they only had 3 left.

There was a line outside the Sprint store waiting for it to open as I passed it on my way back to my home.

i called this best buy a couple days ago the chap stated they had 17 pre orders and 8 for regular folk.. i just walked up to the door and they guy said yeah they have 8 or 11 for regular folk. i told him to wait on me and he stated im the first one in line... if they blow thru the pre orders before 10 they will open up at 9.. so imma chill...

so the guy who stands at the front door here just came out to take down names of us waiting for the regular handsets... so im guaranteed and im cool now... me and the stooges...

so far there are 6 pre order folks.. one lady is a pre order-er.. there are 3 folks including myself waiting in cars...

2 preorder folks have already left.. so since 8am bb has only turned on 2 people... there has been a few cars drive thru and drive out.. theres about 20 cars in the lot and the people driving thru must think these are folks waiting... so they just drive out...

Depends on where you're at I suppose.

Out here in Chicagoland, I already posted photos of about 20 folks waiting outside of the Sprint Store in my office building. Spoke to another fella who saw about the same waiting in one suburb Sprint Store. In the Radio Shack we were in, it was early but at least 4 people came in asking about the Evo (who had not pre-ordered), while the two employees were processing my buddy and 2 other people who had.

I got to my radio shack at 8:30. No pre-order, was out by 9am. 10th minutes after I got there, 3 pre-orders and 2 non showed.

That rs had 3 surplus.

Radio Shack in Kyle has 2 non on pre order. Call em and ask. I got mine there that way.

well, i know the RS and local Sams Club will have both of my pre orders, come get em'!

I ended up going with a business rep thru sprint, got a MUCH BETTER DEAL and i'll get it monday morning. (i know, the two extra days is rough, but i waited this long, i can wait 2 more days)
