2.1 Update Images Leaked!

Just wanted to share a couple of leaked screenshots of the X10 2.1 Update that I found in another website.

It seems that the update is still in its early stages since there is no SE UI added to the system.

I Agree SE should just put 2.1 on it stuff the custom UI its pants and all the bells and whistles that made it special are now on the store in 1 shape or another and sony could of just put timescape and mediascape on the store to download anyway... missed opps for sony they could of charged money for them made add ons for them like imagine the w960i's walkman animations on an X10 that would be EPIC!!!!!

The main difference is 2.1/2.2 enables people to have a pi**ing contest with people with HTC phones. 1.6 wont let you do that

After looking at the pix, am I the only 1 who thinks the UI actually looks better with 1.6? (Obviously it's not a better UI tho, just looks wise)

uhm ... that UI is what makes the X10 so different from nexus or desire ... i really don't like that "simple" android look ,i'd rather wait for the update a couple of months than have that UI.

I think a major update for the X10, whether it be 2.1 or not should be released. I've used the HTC Desire for about a month and its good. Very quick to move from one screen to another, very touch responsive - both of which on the X10 are a bit laggy. it also has HDSPA which is phenominally good. The X10 has great features such as media and time scape that are let down by (in my opinion) the lack of a major upgrade. Considering this is Sony Ericsson's flagship device, you would think they would be doing much more to make it very competitive against the likes of the HTC Desire.

I have no idea what the hell are you talking about - "phenominal" HSDPA?

FYI my X10 is pretty fast, never lags and I get 10+ Mb/s regularly on TMO (I live in NYC) because X10i supports AWS 1700 MHz, something your Desire cannot even use, let alone that Mediascape is the only useful media center application on Android.

This kind of clueless e-penis-waving with Android versions vs X10 always make me laugh...
The only update that makes me a bit excited is v2.2 and it's only because of Flash and maybe the new JIT but so far the first one is pretty far from perfect and the latter rarely would make a difference for me - if SE has a little clue they will aim for 2.3 instead.

My gf has a Samsung galaxy portal that has 2.1 and I see absolutely no difference to 1.6 and 2.1. My X10 loads up web pages just as fast, there is no lag issues and to be honest the only thing I'm waiting for is to see how bad the HD video footage will be when the new update makes the X10 HD as the Vivaz is awful for video footage

I doubt it will be anywhere near as good as the SD video on the LG KC910 as the pictures are half the quality even though the cameras are the same megpix which is annoying as the main reason I got the X10 is that I was due an upgrade and this "looked" like it had the best camera at the time.

The only upgrade that will be good for me is when I can watch the BBC iplayer, when I go out 90% of the time my sim card is in my old KC910 as it does everything I want and most of what the X10 does

dude ...the fuss is about every 'update improvement' as in : longer batt life ,improved touch-screen usability ,more apps ,more CPU and RAM left for the user ...and YES ,xperia runs as fast as that samsung because the SE dudes modified the version so that 1.6 runs at it's full.
As for the HD video ...... i for one will wait and see. Hope that these boys can make us proud to be an X10 owner ... if not ,eh .. there's allways another update )
