Help with contacts pulled from FB

So i just picked this phone up today. First thing I did was put in facebook info. Worked great, pulled every facebook friend and put them in my contacts with a picture. Now none of my friends have a phone number associated with their accounts, so i want to add their cell phone numbers.

Problem is when i go to edit their contact, it says that facebook contact information is not editable on this device.

Any advice on how to add some phone numbers to these contacts? I'm coming from windows mobile so this is all new to me.

i am having to opposite problem, i synced with existing contacts but it seems only a select few people have been synced, a few in my gmail contacts and a few randoms?

i also cannot get yahoo to sync even after trying some of the tips for other operating systems.

I figured out if i create a new contact with their exact facebook name it will merge with the contact synced from facebook. Still kind of silly that i cant edit the contact right off the bat.

Instead of just typing in a number i gotta do name and number.

i was wondering about the facebook thing too but in my case, i was surprised to see that it had put almost all of my facebook "friends" in my contacts list...the only problem is that I dont have a lot of their numbers and dont really talk to them on the phone on a regular basis. Is there a way to not have the phone automatically add these contacts?

You can add facebook friends that only already in your contacts. The issue is you have to have same exact name.

Is there anyway to add FB contact manually to an existing contacting? For example my Dad is listed as Dad in my contacts but it won't sync his FB page because its listed as his full name, which is the same as mine.

Anyway around this?

im wanting to know how to add pages manually as well... i thought i found it when editing contacts in my gmail account whe the webpage option... but this does not work like i hoped... anyone figure out how to do this manually?

Your problem seems to be something which i resolved in seconds.. I just got my Xperia Arc yesterday and synced facebook contacts but to my great surprise i noticed that when i tried to edit them..it showed them as uneditable...so then.. i created a new contact (adding all no's) with the same name of the person whose information i had to edit..then i went 2 d fb contact -> edit -> menu button -> join . And then linked it to the newly created contact..wholaa!!! i was done
