So I just got my 8gb sd card and want to get some music from iTunes onto my Incredible. I am completely lost with how to do this, and there are so many different threads with different suggestions for programs etc.

So my setup and my questions:

I currently have 3 ringtones that I downloaded from Zedge that appears in my stock music player. I first want to know how I can remove those from that music player as I don't want to listen to it, nor do I want it mixed up with my actual music (once I get some) - I just want it available to use as a ringtone when I feel like switching it up.

On that note, do I ever need to 'back out' of the music player to exit completely? I can't figure out to turn it off...the ringtones (since it's all I have in terms of music) just keep repeating and until I just hit pause and exit out. When I go back to check, it's still paused in the same place as I left it. My main concern is if it's still technically running and using battery.

Okay. Moving on. I also downloaded doubletwist in the app market and have it on my pc. I transferred all the music I wanted from iTunes to doubletwist on my computer but cannot get my phone to show up as a device in the doubletwist program. I connected it as a disk drive and wait and wait and nothing happens. I guess that's my first problem and once I can connect it, I suppose I can come back and try to figure out the next steps in getting it organized on my phone (I have questions running in my head about where it's stored: phone vs. sd card, and my ocd side already wants to figure out how to keep it all in one place). But first thing's first.

Any help? :)

Set up a folder on your SDcard called "ringtones" and move tones to it. They should not appear in your music player then.

On that note, do I ever need to 'back out' of the music player to exit completely? That's normal. Nothing to be concerned with.

Never used doubletwist so not even going to attempt this one.

maybe I'm doing something wrong? I've gotten the music FROM itunes TO doubletwist on my computer. I connected my phone and it found it as a device. Then I transferred all that music onto my phone. Disconnected. And now they all show up in my stock music player and not in my doubletwist music player. Doubletwist only shows 3 ringtones I downloaded and none of the music I transferred. I have no idea if it went to my internal memory or sdcard but I can't figure out why.
