Hi there,

I go to NYC in 1 week and I'd like to buy a G1 to use in Europe. I want to buy it contract less, so 399$ before taxes. I had a confirmation through a T-Mobile customer care agent that I could ask for an unlock code right after purchase the device.

I just want to know if it will work in Europe, on HSDPA network. I guess if the G1 UK works, it will also work in my country so, if the UK hardware is the same as the US hardware, no worry :)

Thanks

They have a few key differences. One is the keyboard...they get a glossy keyboard backplate, where we have a dull black. It may sound dumb, but the build quality looks much better for the UK than the US phones. But thats just based off pictures.
