Wow I would think that is a rip. These are usually about $5 for the same OEM battery on ebay. I havent looked for this model yet though.

That's why one would only be in my phone about 5-10% of the time... when I needed it most. Otherwise, it would sit around charged, and if it leaks, no big. Personally, I've used about 10 different replacement ebay batteries, and I've never had any trouble. The only difference is I never get the same battery performance from an ebay battery that the OEM battery has.

I dont think you really know what OEM means do you? Its the same battery you are getting for the ripoff price. It just doesnt ave the same packaging.

I know what OEM means, I also know that anything can be labeled anything on eBay. I can sell a spare battery and say it's OEM... but it can just be a knock off and you wouldn't know any better... until it explodes.

Batteries on ebay almost definitely aren't OEM unless they come with OEM packaging and labeling and perhaps not even then. As the poster above said, anything can be anything.

I got a good oem battery for less then 15 bucks after shipping. same label as the original battery. it just didnt come in a fancy motorolla package.
