Coming from an iPhone 3G, I must say after waiting 2 hours at Best Buy, I'd do it all over again, all week.
This phone just tossed a giant middle finger to Apple.
Now it's not an EVO issue, but these game developers better the ball rollin' with porting over all their iPhone games.
I miss BeJeweled Blitz, Angry Birds, and about 20 other games.
At least I can play the alternatives for now.
The one and ONLY thing that I will miss is the Safari browser, which is VASTLY superior to the stock Android browser. I absolutely LOATHE the way bookmarks are arranged and displayed, and the inability to create bookmark folders in the stock Android browser.
Download Dolphin HD. Way better than Safari.
Same here, except I'm coming from a Pre -- it used the embedded art for the mp3s, but Android apparently doesn't, as far as I can tell.So far I really like the device. It has its quirks here and there but i enjoy the customization and just how big the screen is. However im still struggling to get my music looking like it did on my iphone. I had all the album artwork and it was nice to scroll through it. I still havent found something to do it easily on my evo. any suggestions?

Yes. Picked up my Evo yesterday and sold my iPhone today.
I have an iPod classic that I use in my truck for my music if I didn't I would miss my iPhone because don't see me using my Evo as a music player. It did take some time to learn Android but really beginning to love it. Hated that I had to play cat and mouse with jailbreaking my phone just to set it up the way I want. I'm sure I will find bad things about the Evo but so far I love it.
Also living in an area with good 4g coverage doesn't hurt.
4) Cut/Paste. Am I missing this? It was such a big deal when they added this to the iPhone, I was certain it'd be here. I was trying to track a shipment from an on-line order, and I couldn't figure out how to highlight and paste the tracking number. Maybe this is a browser issue? Probably an android issue, not and EVO issue.
5) Delete functionality. I'd prefer to see delete as a primary function in mail, rather than having to go through the "unread" or "attachments" icon. I need to delete stuff all the time--I don't need to filter on attachment only icons quite so often. Adds needless clicks. I would say, in general, the delete functionality on most iPhone apps seemed easier/quicker to get to.
6) Dormant e-mail accounts. I keep e-mail accounts configured on the iPhone, but not active (I only activate them once in awhile). I can't seem to find a way to do this on the EVO.
8) iPhone interface for text message conversations was vastly superior. Adding in the picture of each person and the "ME:" tag and the date of each messages wastes a lot of space. It doesn't really affect the experience, but the iPhone is superior in this regard, imho. Maybe there's a better app I can use for messaging.
9) Messaging popups. For what it's worth, I prefer the iPhone popup when a message comes in--fewer clicks to get to the screen to reply.
Not possible as far as I know.Still unknown:
1) I haven't even tried syncing to music/movies in iTunes.
[/quote]2) iTunes -- despite my gripes, it was nice to have a PC platform to manage my account, apps, and even the iPhone app layout. I'm new to android, need to figure out if there's anything comparable.
