Help Am I being dumb?

Okay - I changed the setting to vibrate when i send a message and when I receive one. Neither seem to be working. Can anybody get this to work on their phone? Could I have changed a setting elsewhere in the phone that would override this?

The phone should have been on vibrate by default. Does haptic feedback (the vibrating when you type on the keyboard) work?

I've been trying to figure out the same thing for 2 days. It vibrates when the volume is all the way off and I rec a phone call. I can also set my alarms when the phone is in silent mode, but can not figure out how to set the phone to vibrate for messages.

Glad i'm not the only one. I downloaded the evo user guide and set it up accordingly. This a software issue?!?

Can anyone confirm that this indeed is working for them?

To set it you need to hit menu-settings once your in the message app. Select 'Vibrate when messages are received'
