with ringdroid, do you do all the "work" on the phone, accessing the mp3's on the SD card?
if so, what's the best way to get the songs onto the SD? Windows--My Music--copy/paste to micro SD in the adapter?

any way to edit/crop the songs on your computer and then transfer them to the micro SD? I assume you need a folder on teh micro SD called ringtones (or whatever, just so you recognize it)?

Yes, with Ringdroid, the "work" is done on the phone itself. The easiest way would be to just plug in your USB cable to your computer, then copy and paste them into /media/notifications/ringers.

Yes, Audacity can. I use to use (and still do for other reasons) it when I had a dumbphone and had to manually transfer ringtones using a program. Ringdroid basically saves you a step, and with the app, it knows exactly how long the ringer length can be.
