Any of you runners? I've been debating whether or not to take my incredible on my runs or not. I do currently own a Garmin GPS watch but it would be nice to be able just to take one thing with me when i run instead of my MP3 Player + Phone (When I Need it usually when its extremely cold) + Watch. I would of course have to do some research on which running app would be good because there seems to be a ton of them out there.

I am almost scared to do it for a variety of reasons. I have been out before and i have had to finish my run in a down pour though its not frequent. I also sometimes run in some harsh conditions (below zero in the winter). Also you have to worry about general sweat getting into the device. What are your thoughts? Should i just stick with my garmin watch and keep the phone in the car? There is only one thing the phone isn't going to be able to do that he garmin does which is heart rate monitoring.

I am and I am scared to death to be honest. I sweat in bunches (way more than the avg. person) so I am not ready to do it.

I run and would never run w/ my Inc. Garmin and iPod are the way to go. Just too much that could go wrong. My thing is that when I run, I hate to have to fidget w/ anything. That's why I love the 2nd gen. iPod shuffle. Press play and let it go. If I have the screen, I might do too much fiddling / trying to find just the right cd, etc. Just my opinion though.

I run with my INC all the time. i put the phone in the holster and then hold it in my hand. Trust me, you love your phone as much as i do, you tend to pay attention to it in your hand.

I use Cardiotrainer to log my run (graph of speed over time, map gps, current speed, calroies based on weight, logs everything to see your progress) and HIIT for interval training. The HIIT will play music from your SD or you can just use pandora.

I really think it's too risky and not worth it. I wouldn't want to my Inc to fall or drop somehow or get all sweaty. I run with an iPod Nano, the older stubby looking one, and the Nike+ system. Works great! Gives you distance, spoken feedback, tracks runs over time...all kinds of cool stuff. If you have a Nano you should definitely check it out.

You should have a good idea by now, but just my 2 cents. I run with mine all the time! I use sporty pal and pandora, and keep the phone itself in my pocket, or in a wrist strap I got for my old Omnia. It's made for an iPod touch, but there's just enough stretch to it that the Incredible can fit snugly in it.

I don't really use it while I'm jogging though, and I use a BT stereo headset.

I use my Incredible with Cardio Trainer. Luckily, the Incredible fits in my old Belkin iPod Touch armband.

Works great. I love being able to track my route on a map.

Google has their own running tool called Google Tracks, and while it does plot your course on a map, I haven't found a reason to dump Cardio Trainer for it.

Plus, Cardio Trainer can upload your running results to Facebook, if that's your thing.

You already own the Garmin. I run with a Garmin 310 watch and a Shuffle clipped to the back of my hat. The earbud cord hangs behind me and doesn't get in the way and the watch is strapped to my wrist. I usually run with a handheld for water, especially on anything over an hour, so hanging onto a phone would not be an option.
