Hey all , My internet connection seems to be running pretty slow atm

It keep jumping from 3G+ which is really fast then back to G which is pretty slow, Why is this? Is there a way to make it 3G+ all the time and be stable or is it common for it to flip through them its changing like every few seconds

Yes i am could it be just orange playing up at the moment then?

Also for people who use other networks are you constantly moving from G to 3G+ to 3G and so forth ?

I would say 99% of the time on I'm H (which is the same as Orange's 3G=).

The only time it drops to G is in the toilet at work.

ive read in other posts about this issue.. it seems that alot of peeps are gettin g it no matter what network... i had it on my o2 iphone.. now have it on my orange desire .. i have changed the settings goto settings choose wireless and networks, thenb choose mobile networks, then network mode and change to wcdma only .. ive just done this and it seems better! let me know cheers!

It depends where you reside in the UK. where do you live ?? It might be poor HSPA coverage ?

Not had a problem on the 3 network. I live in an area with brilliant coverage and havn't come out of Hspda yet.

I've had the Desire for about 2 weeks and I'm loving it, one thing about the internet connection, it's fine on HSPA but won't connect at all on 3G, is this normal? It's unbranded on Orange. Thanks

My Orange Desire does much the same as my iPhone did on O2. Fast slow, fast, fast, slow, etc, etc. Just as your phone signal fluctuates, so does your data signal. Some places are excellent, others are rubbish.

in isle of wight now cannot get 3g+ on this campsite so ive cahnged the settings back! Tethering on a campsite in the middle of nowhere .. I bloody welll hope so lol
