From leak 3 to OTA and problems

I had been on leak 3 for a while now without any problems and made the mistake changing to the official verizon ROM when it came out the other day and now I have to silent bug... I am going to try to go back to leak 3.

The silent bug is not predictable, and therefore can't be attributed to any particular leak, or the OTA. You may go for weeks without anything happening, then go silent a few times in a few days. It's a problem you can get with a leak or the OTA, and if you didn't get it with one and did with the other, it's probably coincidence.

that sucks for them poor poor leakers

It probably has nothing to do with leaking, because some who waited got it with the OTA. Those who have returned them to Verizon have been told it is a hardware issue, which seems consistent with threads on this forum that have tied it to manufacture dates. Anyway, if it has shown up either with an OTA or leak and it's getting on your nerves, take it to your Verizon Wireless store and get a replacement (just don't ramble about it being a leak, or going from a leak to the OTA or whatever).

Some people don't want to get over it. They want to feel like they accomplished something by waiting for the OTA. Some people, not all, just ignore all facts about the ROM versions and checksums that have been performed on both ROMS.

Some of this may be due to some inaccurate twitter posts from @VZWSupport, where they said, in answering questions from leakers asking about whether they will get the OTA, that VZW does not support the leaked ROMs (which was about as inaccurate as a lot of their other twitter posts on that account while the OTA was rolling out.) It appears that some people think that, by installing this, they will now be officially supported.

The truth is that, if you were running leak v3, you were fully supported by VZW, as many people who received warranty exchanges since the OTA update will prove.

I'd say that if you are on leak v3, it's not worth the trouble of installing this.
