Help touch screen response not as good after a few weeks?

so after a week and a half of having this phone the screen response has started to lack. when I first got it the phone was almost to fast for me. now it seems like it has slowed down a lot and the screen sensitivity is almost on par with my old LG Voyager. its almost like a hit or miss with what I touch...

could it be that I have a screen protector on there?

I felt like mine slowed down a little bit too. Not just the touch screen, but overall snappiness just seemed like it wasn't there anymore.
I read that clearing out all the application caches can help so I did and everything is how it should be again.
To do this go to: settings > applications > manage applications > menu > filter > all. Now the next part is time consuming cause you have to do each app individually, but as of now I think this is the only way to do it. Tap on each app and then tap clear cache. NOT clear data. After you're done, maybe a restart for good measure.
Hope this helps

According to the Quick App Clean Cache page, non rooted phones don't get much out of this. You still have to clear it one at a time. The clear ALL option is root only.

* Works also on NON ROOTED phones
* Clear all (root only, one at once if not)
* Sorts by cache, data, source, total
* Displays free memory
* Favorites

At least that's what I get from it. I could be mistaken.

That is true but i'm sure it's faster than the other way suggested cause its lists them in order by how large the cache file is , then you just click it to clear the cache. So I find it much faster than settings > applications > manage applications > menu > filter > all. The app basically bypasses all that for ya.

Give it a shot. I like it. Sure i wish i could do the Clear All, but it's no biggie.

If it filters by size of cache than it will definitely save time. Most of my app caches didn't even need to be cleared cause they were already at 0, but I didn't know this until I opened them up and read the size.
If this was free I'd grab it, but clearing the caches is prob something I'll only do 1-2 times a month so I don't really mind doing it the long way. Plus I'm on an Incredible and there's a review that says it won't work for my device.

Im starting to think I might be having the same problem. I never had the issue with the whole no touch input in the car holder or on a pillow deal, but strangely after reading this thread I am starting to see it.

I also have a screen protector. I have had my Inc since day 1. Maybe its time for a new protector? Or a hard reset...?

I also have an Incredible. I can say it does work just fine, no problems at all. I forgot how much it was but yeah if it isn't something you would use often why pay.

I use it because i surf the web a lot on my incredible and even though it's set to limit the cache to 6mb it completely ignores that limit and gets big enough to really slow things down. So that app makes it easier for me since i clear it ( and other caches ) so often.

One of the cool features of the Dolphin HD browser is that it gives you the option to clear the cache and/or history when you close it. I've had it as my default browser for a few weeks now and I don't think I'd go back to the stock one. You should check it out if you haven't yet.

Ah, true. That does sound easier.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm going to go try it out right now :)
