There are a lot of things I need help with. For example, since I upgraded to 2.1 (for the Sprint Hero) my phone is been acting weird and slow. I need help with backing up my contacts so I can, if possible, downgrade to 1.5 so I don't have all the little problems I've been having.

Is there a good samaritan out there the can help me out I will appreciated very much.

Before you commit to going back to 1.5, make sure you have done a factory reset. Does wonders for the Eris.

But if you use a Google account everything should be backed up.

Like Demache said, if you have a Google account (which you must have to get any use from the phone) then your contacts should be "backed up" in your Google contacts. Go to your Google account and check your contacts to verify.

As for going back to 1.5, I'm not aware that you can after updating to Sprint's 2.1 update. You can ask questions and get more answers directly in the Root: Sprint Hero forum. You don't have to be rooted to post there, but rooting would allow you to flash a custom ROM and have a better Sprint Hero phone. Help on rooting is in that forum too.
