Help Is my firmware 2.1 or 2.0.1?

I bought my Milestone (carrier: Personal -Argentina) yesterday and overall I'm reeeaaaally happy with it.
But I don't know if the firmware version I have is what the phone actually says.

So, if I go to the ABOUT section I can read:

Model number: A853
Firmware version: 2.1-update1
Firmware configuration version: GAS_LA_USASHLSPERARLAT_P037
Baseband version: 3gsmepu91a_u_91.07.50i
Baseband configuration version: USASHLSPERARLA02E.0R
Kernel version: 2.6.29-omap1

okay... I'm not sure if this info above is really useful but what I can tell you is that the unlock bar is not circular, but straight. I have a friend with 2.1 and the circular unlock bar, plus some different icons like the squares to launch the whole app list. I don't have that one either....

so what do you think? Is there anything I can do?

Firmware version: 2.1-update1

The line quoted above is the most important line, you indeed have version 2.1.

Your friend may simply have a phone with a different interface placed it. Unlike Windows and more like Linux, which Android is based off of, Android can have a different interface placed on it. An interface meaning button, button placement and functionality, so it should not be confused with themes which just change the appearance of the buttons and other interface elements.

The "squares to launch the app list" sounds to me like your friend may have loaded a different launcher on his Milestone, I am guessing LauncherPro (which I highly recommend as it works very well).

You appear to have the latest 2.1 version of Android on your phone.

To expand on what he said, they may also have HTC Sense installed, as the circular lock screen is standard with it (I'd almost bet money that's it).
Easiest way to check: If you can pick live wallpapers (or see anything in the market searching LWP) you're golden.
