Problems with EVO Camera (Near-sighted?)

I am having a serious problem with my EVO's camera. Whenever I take a picture of something more than a maybe a foot away, it is a blurry mess. Attached are two examples, one a few inches away (which still doesn't seem that clear) and one a few feet away.

I haven't changed any of the settings on the camera, and I have reset it to factory defaults just incase. I've tried removing the battery and reinserting it. Could a software setting or another program on the phone be causing this, or is this most likely a physical defect in the camera?

The first picture is because there is to macro on this lens, which means you will never be able to take a picture of something within 3 inches or so from the lens. But the second pic, that makes me think the focus just isnt working at all. If you tap the screen and it doesnt focus, that has to be whats wrong. my girlfriend's camera would do that to after she spilled sticky pop on it. I would take it back where you got it for an exchange.

OMG, get a can of canned air and clean that keyboard! Ewwww! Looks like a bag of chips exploded over it.
