Any Scratch Tests Yet?

I dropped mine on the pavement yesterday... I know... dumb. I got out of my car and forgot it was on my lap. I was afraid to pick it up... as I cringed and lifted it up, turned it over to the screen (it slid like 2 feet on the cement) I was expecting to see it all scratched to hell... it was actually okay... not a scratch on it - AT ALL. I'm actually surprised - I think I was just lucky - I won't be trying that again ;)

Oh boy, that is a fear of mine... I have done this so many times with my previous phones. I'm glad it came up ok. People joking about crying?? Oh I would have cried, one day after getting the phone and that happening????

Again, glad it's ok. Now that we have this great test, who's taking off their 7/8 covering VZW protector????

ok i just did a test. i was dying to know and i couldnt wait for someone else to try it so i tested on a lil corner at the top. i tried it with a lead pencil tip first some light taps, scraped it a lil back and forth. no scratches. so i took a scissor and did the same thing on the same spot. still no scratches. so next i took an exacto knife and did the same thing. this time even harder taps and scrapes. still nothing. so i dragged it across the screen and did some more harder pokes and still no scratches. i didn't dare do it too hard though but it seems like its at least resistant to light and medium scratches. seems like google put some heavy thought into this phone afterall. wonder if its made of tempered glass...

Screen protectors... Whether you get them from Verizon Wireless or not ($12.99 for a 3 pack that are fitted to the phone...) are a cheap way to avoid caring whether the screen is scratch resistant or not. I would stick with the thin clear laminate ones, though, some folks have said they had issues with the thicker privacy protectors.
