...Taitz, the Queen of the Birther movement, got more than 300,000 votes yesterday in the California GOP primary for Secretary of State.

Ms. Taitz, who many believe is certifiable, was slammed to the mat by her main Republican opponent.

It's hard to believe that even in California, there were 300,000+ voters so out of touch with reality that they voted for Orly.

Quite a bit of her insanity is on YouTube, if you want a giggle. :)

not necessarily as hard to believe as you might think, look at the city of L.A. as one example of how, um, backwards (thats an appropriate forum word right) some people in CA are.

1.2 million voters turn out for the general election in november 2008, then only four months later only 285,000 show up for city elections and they vote to elect as mayor, Villaraigosa, for his second term...

The mayor is an imbecile who bows down and kisses the @$$ of Mexican El Presidente Calderon (note: he flew out to see calderon when calderon was in Washington slamming AZ's newest immigration laws which are notably quite less severe than his own country's dealing with their southern neighbors mind you). I am originally from CA but damn if I ever plan on going back to that bass ackwards state to live, that state is so wrongly run and in financial ruin that it might as well break off into the ocean, as long as Jobs is still there and Google moves out that is ;)

I live there. :( Despite the politics, it's a great state to live in. California has basically everything.

It's bitter sweet here. Kern County is a pretty conservative county though.

On that note guys I apologize, I guess I was quite harsh in my first post. Its an absolutely gorgeous state but I hated seeing so many rights being stripped away from legal citizens and then seeing so many rights along with money, homes, and healthcare given to illegals that I just cant stand it there anymore. I go back to visit family and the state has so many beautiful parts to it that I do truly miss being there at times.

We love visiting California. We were out there twice last in the last year, first for 10 days in San Francisco-Monterey-and north of San Francisco, in wine country, and then in the San Diego area. California, like every state, has its problems, but all in all, it has a lot to offer.

If you visit the San Francisco area and like Vietnamese food, try Kim Thanh's, at 607 Geary Street. Fabulous soups, fish, and crab dishes.

Except the right to bear arms. (freely)

It was quite annoying as I drove and got close to the border having to unholster my firearm and pass it to my wife who took out the mags and placed them in one case while locking the pistol up in a seperate case... Whats great is I was forced to do this as a citizen that obeys the laws, it sure makes it nice and cozy for all the criminals huh?

California enables its criminals by making them feel safe knowing all potential victims dont have the ability to defend themselves. It also harbors federal law breakers who decide to circumvent the immigration practices the United States employs as a country by completely disregarding all immigration laws and providing sanctuary to anyone that goes there...

I don't feel a need to carry firearms on my California vacations.

You live in Illinois, right?

And you are writing about another state's firearm laws?

The only reason I am still in illinios is because of my family, our business, and everything else that is here. I think the firearm laws here are crap, too.

But, its getting better. Now we can carry firearms in our glove box's(assuming you have a FOID, which is an easy process and only $20). they don't even have to be in a case, but the magazine can't be in the gun, but it can be loaded. I can have it ready to fire in less than 2 seconds.

Tapatalk. Samsung Moment. Yep.
