For those with LauncherPro/ADW what shortcuts have you placed in the bottom dock?

The most obvious to use are:

phone - contacts - messaging - gmail

But the problem I face is without widget support I have to still use my Gmail and SMS unread count widgets, so I am not really saving much space.

What are you guys using?

That's why I uninstalled LauncherPro after a couple of hours of usage. It looked very nice, but I could not find any decent substitutes for the HTC calendar widget (I use both the 4x4 grid view and 4x1), and I wanted the Gmail/Handcent counts to be readily available on the bottom dock...

I hate to ask the newbie question, but how do you set the custom dock icons to LauncherPro (or how do you set more than just two in ADW)?

actually good question. i just downloaded the launcher .44 or 4.4 or whatever it is beta and i still can't customize my dock. am i missing something?

EDIT: oh wait, yes i can... long press, der. must be new to this beta. so happy he finally implemented that. i wanted to use my dialer one for a phone!

Is there any way to put widgets down there? For example: it would be really really nice if GMail Unread Count could go there, or a 1x1 Calendar widget with the day's date displayed?

Way to glance over the entire thread. :p Me and another poster already brought this up. You can not do it.

I don't know how easy or hard this would be for them to implement but only time will tell.

My apologies. Though in my defense, only you mentioned the lack of widget support, and given the diversity of people on the forum I had hoped you simply didn't know how to do it, rather than could not do it.

I see a technical issue of this from the developers perspective, in that allowing widgets into the dock might need to be enforced by a 1x1 size check. Obviously docking a 4x4 would be pointless.

Hopefully they get a fix in place for that. Until then I'm not sure what the advantages of alternate launchers are.
