ok so i am also a behold user who is very upset and i would like to know should i wait to see if the galaxy s is coming to tmo for a reasonable price or should i get the slide on june 19th when all fones are free? i love htc i even wish i could go back to my g1 rite now but it broke so i need a new phone the behold is such a headache. what is your feedback on the slide?

My wife has had her MT3G-S since they were released on the 2nd and I am on my 2nd Slide (local store didn't have red so when I found a store with red I swapped out my black for it) and we both love'em especially compared to our BH2's. the battery is pretty good considering I am on the net with it quite a bit. but then hell after the screw job Samsux gave the BH and BH2 owners I wouldn't care if they put out the baddest phone on the planet I would still go with an HTC

Screw the Galaxy S. You know it's not going to be supported and touchwiz will bog it down just like the Behold II. Samsung is really only interested in their proprietary software and since this isn't Bada, it'll be left in the dust like all the rest.

I plan on grabbing me a free MT Slide as well on June 19th, hopefully I can find a red one.

Ok people, you cant say that you hate samsung and be wondering if you should wait around to see if they make better phones.

Its like when a girl cheats on you, you need to move on. Not hang around and stalk her and see if she is going to make it all up to you.

Actually, i'm giving samsung too much credit here because an x gf would actually have feelings, unlike samsung.

They just want your money.

Why go to a samsung over a HTC? Everyone knows what happens with samsung phones. What's the main advantages over the slide? I feel there is none. The screen is better of coarse but who really complains about the mytouch slide's screen? It has a 1ghz processor but it has TouchWiz on it. If i recall Touchwiz killed the behold 2, and the slide only has 600mhz but it's so fast and I NEVER had an encounter with it being even close to slow. Mytouch slide will have everyone supporting it just like the g1, while the galaxy s won't even have close to that support.

I just don't seem whats the hype is all about. Am I missing something?

I never had good experiences with Samsung's phone. The Galaxy has some pretty nice specs though;

- Super AMOLED screen
- 1ghz processor, 512mb ram (it's fast but this varies depending on what features are turned on)
- 802.11n WiFi
- 4 inch screen

I have the Slide since day 1 and I dig it. It doesn't have a 1ghz processor but it's still fast and smooth even with a lot of widgets and apps on the desktop.

The Slide doesn't have SUPER AMOLED like the Galaxy but the resolutions is still very nice and it uses less processor power, which is one of the reason why the Slide is smooth and fast.

From the screenshot of the UI on the Galaxy I prefer the HTC Sense on the Slide more. I guess the UI on the Galaxy is too similar to the iPhone's UI. From the square-ish icon (Slide is guilty of this too), to the page dot and the shape of the phone. I've been using the iPhone for the last 3 years so go figure. I think the Slide is way more stylish compared to the Galaxy overall.

We'll have to wait and see how supportive Samsung is of the Galaxy's software down the line. They don't have a good track record but things can change. Right? If you can wait another week or so then I would recommend you to so that you can test drive the Galaxy. If you can't then go for the Slide, you won't be disappointed.

You can't go wrong with the Slide, it does pretty much everything out of the box. If someone try to compare their iPhone 4G with you ask them how much they're paying monthly muhaha. I guarantee that they're paying at least $30 more than you. I have unlimited text/3G data, 1000 shared minutes and i'm paying $60/monthly, still a decent amount of money but it's becoming the norm.

AT&T Plan Cost:

$39.99 - Nation 450 Minute (cheapest voice plan)
$25.00 - DataPro 2GB (you can pay more for additional data)
$20.00 - Unlimited Messaging
$6.99 - Navigation (free Google Navigation on Android)

I'm not trying to bash the iPhone here. I've been using the 2G for the past 3 years and I loved it. The 3G/3GS was nice too, annoying to hack but nice lol. At the end of the day I like to have 3G speed, free navigation, great features that I don't have to hack to get, and shell out less $ each month because I don't have money to burn. But hey, if you have the cash go for the iPhone 4 if you like =).
