Disappointed Wife!

Hi,

I have have had the desire for a few weeks and my wife decided to get one to however the shop only had a Nexus One and I persuaded my wife to get it (because it is the same).

The one thing which I am struggling to do is get a way to get Facebook profile photos onto a widget that is like the People widget on the desire that pulls the Facebook photos across.

I can get the facebook photos into the contacts but cannot get them to show on a widget (tried People widget demo).

Any help before I start to consider dire options would be appreciated.

The widget is the people widget for favourite contacts ie press their photo to call them

Also I heard from other forums that the desire rom flash kills the bluetooth, which she uses

Instead of a widget, use a shortcut to a contact. These use the contact pictures, which you have already sync'd with Facebook.

Yes, it does! Paul forgot to finish the Rom, unfortunately!

Take the Nexus back and wait for a Desire...

Be a nice husband and swap with her lol If you're not into the social networking, which Sense UI seems to do well, try the Nexus One

Or...when the Desire is back in stock, change the N1 for a new Desie.

Paul has actually said he is hoping to post a new Desire ROM next week....(w/c 14th June).

create 48x48 sized icons of her friends' pictures; save as png.
use bettercut to create direct dial shortcuts, and change the icon to friends' picture.
