Not sure if all have seen my screen separation test, but I am getting a new phone from sprint in a few days, so I figured I would abuse my phone.

Just ran a key over my phone for about a minute, and also had my 13 year old son do the same. There is absolutely no scratch on the phone.

I suppose I should put in the disclaimer that the phone is being returned to sprint because the screen has risen up from the bezel, and that is the only reason that I did the scratch test.

I forgot to mention that I did the same thing to the back camera, but it lasted all of 2 seconds and it scratched.
For the life of me I can't figure out why they would not use the same glass as the screen.

One last disclaimer. The point of this post is not to say hey you don't need a screen protector. I was just wanting to show how tough the Evo screen is. When I had my hero I never dropped it, never put it in a pocket with anything, and at the end had 2 hairline scratches on the screen.
So if ya think you need a screen protector get one. Don't not get one just because of this.
NOTHING IS SCRATCH PROOF!

HTC Evo 4g scratch test

Just wanted to show again that there is in fact no scratches on the phone.

Screw pics, I want a vid of this. Surely your camera takes vids. Heck Android can take a vid, use a mirror!!

Anyways, when you say you took a key to it, how did you use the key? Did you tap on it or scrape? Did you rub hard and apply pressure or let it slide across? Did you use the corner/sharp parts or the flat/bottom part? Just trying to get more info about how how you were trying!! :)
