So I walk in this morning to my computer at work, had to leave early yesterday to pick the kids up from daycare, and I log into my machine. Low and behold, I must have left it unlocked so my wonderful iPhone toteing co-workers took it upon themselves to iPhone up my PC. My trash bin was called iPhone and I had an iPhone 4 back ground applied to my desktop. But, since I can take a joke, I modified the back ground, and thought it would post it here, since you guys have roughly the same sense of humor I have. :)

I would be scared Steve Jobs is trying to take control of your PC in addition to all the poor iPhones out there o_O

They've revolutionized glass. 20-30x stronger.
First Broken iPhone 4 Screen
Maybe the should have just used Gorilla Glass. Haha. I've dropped my phone on concrete at least 5 times.

I'm not a fan of the iPhone but I didn't find this funny at all. Don't wanna be a hater, it just wasn't funny.
I agree, just as old and stale as the im a mac commericals.

Did you read the story...and then go on to read the comments? LMFAO! The comments were funny! Amazing how so many people seem to be an engineer

one guy said this:

"I think that this is BS because there is a structural difference between dropping an empty shell, and a shell full of parts. The full shell is much sturdier"

huh? so somehow a phone full of components...ie heavier (which would fall faster right?) would somehow have protected the OUTSIDE of the phone and would have caused the screen to not break??? Hahahahahahaha!!! :D

Thats what all my friends iPhone screens look like. I love the Droid's durability

Lol, I agree. I AM an engineer...(well Engineer MAJOR), and this dude just defied the laws of PHYSICS. Fall faster?! I had to laugh at that!

I do have to say, on a more serious note, that it disappoints me if the new iPhone doesn't stand up to a regular drop. I'm surprised that this isn't an elementary requirement to making phones, especially expensive smartphones. A basic requirement for any cell phone is that is should be durable enough to withstand repeated drops. I love Apple, but if this is legit...they Failed on this one. :(

To be fair, having internal components would act as an inertial damper and absorb some of the impact. What's all this about it having glass on the back as well? That's just aesthetic's gone mad! Apple needs to realize that it's all well and good making it look super pretty, but it has to work in day to day use with the clumsy idiots that buy them.

Oh, didn't you know it's all part of Steve Jobs's plan pass his iArmy through airport security? They go through with their iphones, slip in to the bathroom and crack them against a counter to use like a broken beer bottle.

Alls I'm sayin' is if you end up in a security line with a bunch of turtleneck wearing iphone totin' people, you might wanna secure your exit route...

No, it wouldn't fall faster. Having the components in the shell will keep the frame from racking, which is what it looks like happened with the broken screen. All glass will break, that's just a given. There's no such thing as shatter proof glass, same as bullet proof vests. They are shatter resistant, and bullet resistant. Pull the Droid's outer screen from the phone and drop it, and I guarantee it will break. I actually wouldn't be surprised if the iPhone's screen is really gorilla glass with a different name, kinda like "retina display".
