Android 2.2 Update from 2.1 -update1 EPF21B

hi,

I have a Nexus One with Android 2.1 -update1 Build # EPF21B. I am using this in India. I need to find out a couple of things :

1. How do I find out if my N1 is rooted or not.

2. Whether my N1 qualifies for a Android 2.2 update ?

- If no, how do I make it qualify ?

- If yes, when do I get the update ?

Any help and info in this regard would be most appreciated.

1: If it's rooted, you'd know.

2: They all do. Unless you're running another rom such as cyanogen

2a refer to 1, if you are using another rom, you'd know. Revert back to stock or wait for that rom dev to make a new one

2b Whenever Google releases it to you

So you saying, I leave the phone as is. The EPF21B seems like the official build for UK.

As and when Google releases Android 2.2, I will get a notification, right ?

Yes, you will get a system notification once they roll it out.

I cant get Bluetooth or the internet to work, I think I may need the software put on the phone??
There is nowhere on the phone for me to activate or select the Bluetooth device.
Any suggestions

Just one quick last question : The firmware I have is UK Vodafone specific (EPF21B). I am currently in India; I just wanted to know if I will be able to download the updates that Google releases for Android, here in India ?

The official download is generally available for download from anywhere as long as you have an internet connection. You would have to do that manually though.

I have an Internet connection, yes so, by manually, you mean to say, I wont be getting it OTA ? or I will have to 'Check For Updates' every now and then ?

You can manually check for the update; but it's usually there as soon as it's available. If you have a Nexus you will get the update.
