Radio Shack exchanges

My 6-day old Evo needs to be exchange due to a faulty vibrating motor. Instead of just swapping out my Evo with one in stock in the store, the gentlemen in charge tells me he must have them ship him a new one before I can exchange. How crazy is that?

Anyone else have a problem exchanging the phone?

Same here. They have to have one shipped for you because all the ones that are coming have owners already. Just did this Yesterday.

yep, went in Tuesday to RS to get an exchange. Was told they can't pre-order me an exchange, but ASSURED me they would get extras, and would hold one back for me. I got a call this morning telling me they didnt get any extras, nor did any other radio shack in town. i dont know what to do now, as sprint is no help at all.

I just walked in from exchanging one. I had a stuck pixel in the middle of the screen, sucks cause other wise it was a good handset. In short, I had to wait for their second shipment (a week) in order to get one, most of whatever arrives is already spoken for.

This will be the last time I purchase anything at from RS though, long bad experience. Now, the one I received today has light bleeding problems at the bottom of the screen/edge of phone. :mad:

It's not their fault that they're getting the phones they're getting. This is what hapens when you have a hot phone though. It's hard to exchange it at first.

That's true.. I know there are some issues that were almost inevitable, but for them to give you the run around is my issue.. I would rather them be straight up with me..

Sucks that you have a bad phone. But, a bad phone could come from the Sprint store as well. They all come from the same stock.

Hope you get it resolved.

However, I'm just going on a bad experiance last week with a moron. However its HTC fault as well for not having enough devices to go around...

Wrong it's Sprint's fault for not ordering more devices than they need for these set backs. The manufacturer can usually supply as many devices as you want given they have parts (there has been no shortage of parts), Sprint gets what they order not HTC's fault.

Yeah it's Sprints fault not ordering enough sets....but it's HTC's fault for building messed up headsets. These are like $500 phones they should have build it with more care & did quality checks...so people don't have to bring it back for exchanges.
