command line

I do not know, but if you do not mind me asking, why Android and not something a bit more full powered, like Ubuntu Netbook or even just Ubuntu/other distribution of Linux? I get Android for phones, but I do not necessarily see the benefits for a netbook.

Sorry to quasi-hijack, but I just had to ask.

there are several other programs as well, better terminal emulator, connectbot just name two.
I, too, would like to be able to fool around on the command line sometimes when idling on the subway, etc., and it won't do to haul out my eee PC.

It doesn't appear to me that any full command line is available on the iPhone; the so-called terminal emulators there are really just meant for ssh to a server.

Are the terminal emulator applications on the Android better?

Thanks.
