Root installing apps to SD card

thanks for the replies guys. both very helpful. just one more question. if i root my phone is there a way to unroot, in case i decide i dont want it later on?

Yes, you can un-root. Here's the gold-standard thread regarding this, imho (by erisuser1) (probably telling you more than you want to know ;)): http://androidforums.com/all-things-root-eris/86620-fyi-root-re-root-root-unroot-ota-root-all.html

Here is another (shorter) thread re. unrooting:

http://androidforums.com/all-things-root-eris/86185-2-1-root-1-5-downgrade-ota.html

which references Full Downgrade from 2.1root (any) to 1.5 stock - FULLY WORKING - xda-developers

whoops, I didn't read carefully before I shot my mouth off. Never mind.

erisuser1, no big deal (saw your original post in my email and I was like, "huh?"...lol -- I do wish you had been able to help darthanubis...still can't understand what was going on there...); thank you for all of your help to everyone, just reading your posts is very helpful and educational.

cheers! :D
