I know it's supposed to as my hero did the same, so it might be a HTC sense thing. Just wondering if there's a way of stopping it from displaying my call history when I want to see my contacts? When I press the phone button, I want to call one of my contacts, not have to scroll down from my call logs! The call logs should have been on a seperate button on the bottom of the screen I think.

I think you have actually got it the wrong way round. Like any phone when you press the phone button you get a list of calls made/received etc. The desire adds your contacts to that list for you. I assume this added feature would be handy for some users. If you want to call one of your contacts why not just select Contacts(people) instead of press the phone button ?

I know what you mean, but I want to make it so that the phone button goes to my contacts since there isn't a seperate icon for them as there is on most phones. I'm all for my contacts and call history being accessible with this button, I Just wish they were seperate lists and not all rolled into one. Know what I mean?

Yes there is. I mentioned it in my last post. Its a program called "People" It should be on your home screen already. If its not, hold your finger on an empty space of your home screen and when the "add to home" selection comes up, select "program" and then "People"

Unfortunately you cannot change the function of the phone button from default.

I Just want to make the phone button access my contact list directly though. Once you press the phone button, if you press the button on the bottom right, it let's you choose to see just your contacts, or just your call log, etc, so why didn't they give the option to choose which screen opens up as default? Why did they think we would all want it to show everything in one list first? I don't really want to use an extra icon either if I can help it, as I can use that icon space for something worthwhile. Also, when using the people icon, if you select a contact it goes into another screen where you can edit details, etc. I literally want the phone button to behave as it does now, but without displaying tin call log on the top of it.

If I just clear the call log, is there any way I can stop it remembering from now on, or at least stop it displaying it on this one screen?
