I moved to shape writer and I haven't looked back.. when I have to tap-type in certain words that aren't in the SW dictionary yet, its a pain in the @ss ... I talked a couple other people into "swyping" instead of tapping ... and they fought at first, now they two can't stand tap typing anymore....

I searched the market for swype cause I heard about it on here but couldn't find it. I'm very unfamiliar with what it does, so please feel free to enlighten me.

Swype for the Evo isn't available yet.. and swype in general is still a closed beta.. you can install it from an APK if you want.. but "shape writer" is in the market and free... here's a video of what it does

YouTube - Whats this song?! Someone has to know!

basically just move your fingers across the letters in a swyping motion.. very simple and intuitive... makes driving/texting easy btw :)

Last I heard, bluetooth keyboard/wii controllers weren't working on the Evo due to HTC Sense's incomplete/buggy bluetooth implementation?

Did you get it working on your Evo?

I did. There are still some problems... like it will randomly switch into Korean once in awhile and it has crashed on me once too.

Still, the benefits of being able to type so much faster definitely outweighs the problems. Plus, the keyboard maker seems really dedicated towards making these things work. He's been great about feedback.

What really surprised me, is that when I got things working, I was able to use accessory buttons to activate my calendar/home screens from the keyboard. I haven't tried answering the phone from the keyboard yet.

Which keyboard is it?

Honestly, a little roll-out rubber mat style bluetooth keyboard wouldn't be bad if you could size it down to say the size of 1 1/2 Evo's. Hell, make it the exact size of the evo, then incorporate it into a hard-case where you can slide it out, plop it on a table, and when you're done, slide it back into the bottom. I call dibbs on this idea.

Which keybaord are you using, and which App if any are you using on the Evo?
