Root ultimate droid froyo rom beta

I installed it just to see, its basic froyo w/ stock kernal. The only difference I could see was that it had an app that let u uninstall system apps. But I flashed back to bb because I already got 2 apps that can do that, titanium backup and root explorer.

Sent from my Droid using Tapatalk

how do you do it with titanium?

I tried UD... I am actually still running it. Here is my impression:

The UD Froyo rom is nothing more than the first 2.2 leak he used with the addition of an app that runs scripts to install/uninstall certain apps.

The aforementioned app does not work. Not one single script I ran actually installed or removed apps like it was supposed to.

In light of this, the UD rom is nothing more than the original release to which new ownership has been claimed. My advice is to just check out Fabolous, BB, or Chevy (or one of the other 2.2 ROMs), since they have at least actually added something to the ROM.

The feature isn't working for me, either. However, I'm pretty sure it's not "nothing more than the original release to which new ownership has been claimed[/]".
Let's talk about just what, EXACTLY, has been added to the ROMs you suggest, since I can't seem to find any kind of comprehensive list. (I want features!)
BD's UD9 was what I had. Not trying to be sarcastic, but if his stuff sucks, then it should be easy to wow me. lol

Are you serious? No comprehensive list? You should have definitely been around here long enough by now to know where to find this stuff! ;)

Hint: It is usually referred to as the "Changelog", But can also be found in the release threads.

BB v0.1 - Peter Alfonso

Fabolous - http://androidforums.com/all-things...east-frf57-v0-1-1-wifi-fixed-6-13-2010-a.html

A changelog isn't quite what I was looking for, but thanks for letting me know they exist. I kinda don't have the time needed to track down everybody's changelog and release threads. It's a ROM I'm looking for. I'm not buying a car.
What I'm looking for is a comparison of all the features of several ROMs. In a list. For comparison. The list should include ROMs made even by people you don't like, and should also include features that aren't available in the ROMs made by people you do like but are found in those of the ROMs made by the people you don't like.

...Getting what I mean, here?

I'm sure the next version of UD will have some of the features available in those other ROMs. Because blackdroid developed them independently, of course.

Its the internet. I neither like nor dislike anyone. I am indifferent. If stating that UD has ripped off literally everyone else working on development is perceived as a dislike rather than a statement of fact... which at this point has been proven time and time again... then sure, I dislike UD. But then you have to ask yourself, if I am really such a hateful person, why have I not changed using his ROM for someone elses yet? Or even better yet, why did I try it in the first place?

I'm not a developer... just an end user who likes to try anything and everything. I see what works and what doesn't, and call it accordingly.

and FWIW - I have not tried any of Fabs ROMs yet. Only read the list of things he has done to them. I made my recommendation for it above UD because I HAVE tried that (and still use it) and there is nothing in it.

(This thread was doomed by it's title.)

The ROM is running fluid smooth for me, and quick. Everything opens super fast. I'm running Chevy's 250MHz-1GHz LV kernel. I don't know if it's the ROM or the kernel that's making everything so snappy. I'm happy with it for now, though.

I like to use Google Earth as a benchmark. A number doesn't really tell me much. But this is handling Earth, panning & tilting really well with no freeze so far.

Are you up and running 2.2 yet??? If not, I don't think anyone would blame you for trying it! :D

LOL...yes, I am finally up and running (over a day now!) on Fab's nexthemed BB Froyo. :)

Even flashed a couple different kernels and survived the reboots. Whenever I reboot, usually takes me three to five reboots to settle down, so I don't reboot casually. (Plus, I hear that can make your palms hairy.) :D
