How to free some internal memory

Maybe this has been discussed, but i don't remember reading it.

I've been clearing out my cache regularly to free up memory. But it never occurred to me to delete MMS messages.
I just freed up 10 MB of internal memory by deleting MMS messages.
I deleted entire threads, and in some cases, individual MMS messages (pictures and videos), because i didn't want to loose the whole thread.

I know there are apps for deleting SMS messages, Delete Old Messages, AutoDeleteSMS, etc., but i have not found one for MMS.( If you know of one, please share:D).
These messages will stay there and hog internal memory.

So now this is one more thing i will do regularly to maintain my eris in tip top shape. Well worth it IMO.

this is a habit I've had since I had an old flip phone. As soon as I get a MMS, I make the decision right then to either save or delete it. If I want to keep it, I save it to the sd and delete the message. Or I just skip straight to deleting it. Either way I don't let those douches sit around a be all douchey!

Best way, I'm guessing, is to delete by thread. I'd also suggest bringing along a good book or maybe a miniseries collection on dvd to watch... it may be a while.

If you tried deleting them by thread like that the phone would just lag and FC the messaging app. I honestly have never let my sms number get about 250 and I try and delete those and call log every night.

Get an app called Delete Old Messages.
Start deleting messages that are over 6 months, then 5... And so on. That way you delete a little at a time

How about this? (this might be faster):

1. Root the phone
2. Take phone inside a walk-in freezer
3. Overclock to some insanely high MHz
4. Delete your messages in no time!

:D [sorry, I couldn't resist this one] :D
