Just wondering if there is a difference between the retail Nexus One and the Employee version?

I'm thinking about purchasing a phone from an employee who got this phone during Christmas? Is that still considered a beta unit?

I read somewhere that the beta units had sound quality issues? It also has a different battery cover.

$450.. Is that a fair price?

Not in my opinion, the early release T-Mobile version bottom buttons did not respond very well, I had one from day one. It is not a problem on my AT&T version, and I assume the newer T-Mobile ones, but his is even older. $450 for a used non official version is way to much IMO, and who cares if you can lock the boot loader again? What is that good for other then HTC not voiding your warranty, which that one probably doesn't even have.

I would check the bottom buttons response to touch, and if they are fine offer him $350 at most, but you're probably better off passing on it.

Just my opinion.
