Root New Method that worked when the other 3 failed

Ok I did not come up with this method, but I saw it on the XDA forums. Worth a shot, I did it and it totally worked.

Basically you corrupt your SD card (Remember to back up all your data)
by formatting it to Linux Ext 3 format. Then use the boot into recovery mode.
Totally worked the first time. Hopefully this helps someone out.

Corrupted SD card possibly causes ADB in recovery? - xda-developers

How exactly do I corrupt my card? You said you did this.. can you post some instructions on doing this? Thanks.

I used Ubuntu to reformat the SDcard to Linux EXT 3 format.
I am sure there are other ways of doing it like thru Archos disk director suite, but its not free.

It would prob be just as fast to download the ubuntu livecd (if you dont have ubuntu). Then boot it, plug in your USB to your inc. I had my mode set to Disk Drive. Then your SD Card should show up in My computer, and you can right click on it and select format, then it will ask you to name the volume, and then choose Linux EXT 3 as the format.

Then you continue the boot into recovery mode method.
