I would love a Forum-Reader App!

Im thinking NewsRob, but for Forums!

An app that you plug in a forum URL, it updates itself with the Topic, the contents, and the replies ... makes it easy to read and stores it all offline just like NewsRob. Attached images would be a bonus

I open the app, im greeted with a list of topics i can scroll through.

I select a topic and it shows the contents of the OP

Below the OP, it shows the replies as well.

Options at the very bottom might give me options to reply to topic, or remove from aggregation

Im sure i can set something up with a reader, or have google reader auto-scrape the page or something. But a dedicated app specifically for forums would be pretty effing sweet lol

Did ou try searching the market? There are quite a few out there.
Tapatalk is one i gave a test (the free version, which wont let you reply) and it wasnt too bad. Have to buy it to be able to reply, its only 3 bucks though

I use Google Reader with the RSS2 feeds of the forums I'm interested in, but it doesn't show replies in threads.

Also http://androidforums.com has a mobile skin, you can select it from the drop-down in the bottom-left corner.

Tapatalk is well worth the 3 dollar charge. Actually the best app for the money so far for me. It gets the most use with the various forums I'm a member of.

That is the problem that I am facing. I would really like to find an app that incorporates all the forums that I am on as well. Any luck on finding one other than Tapatalk? By the way, Twister is an awesome movie. Nice quotes!

No luck finding an alternative. Best thing I can think of is to contact forum admins that I post on and suggest Tapatalk access. One has already responded positively.

Agree with heffa, just contact the forum admins. I admin a forum and until I got my Incredible last month and went looking for a better way to view it I didn't even know about tapatalk. It's amazing how easy they make it to enable your forum for use with tapatalk assuming the forum uses one of the boards they support.

I use TapTalk and have set up two of my forms to allow it. It takes less then 5 minutes to set up. It take a little longer to fill out their inline form to submit your forum into their list. Nice thing is that the forum then supports TapTalk through Android, iPhone and Blackberry.

No offline reading.

I wish I could set it up for the forum I run. It's on Zetaboards and I have no idea how I would go about setting it up. I would even consider moving it, but that would definitely annoy the members (all 10 of 'em).

I have an issue with tapatalk that not only do you have to pay for it, but then each time you post with it it adds an advertisement signature. I'm not down with paying for something that advertises itself automatically. Free version? Sure. Something I pay for? Doesn't sit good with me.

Do you mean the "Sent from my device using Tapatalk" line?

If so: Open Tapatalk->Menu-> Settings->Tapatalk Signature-> None

Not sure what other advertisement signature you could mean so I am guessing this is it. Simple to turn off.

get in touch with the admins of that forum. it is simple to add it and free for forum admins

1. When looking at a forum in tapatalk, is there anyway to mark all unread posts as read?

2. When I go to the a forums site, e.g. AndroidForums, in tapatalk, it starts at the 'Latest' tab, and I have to wait for it to finish loading the latest topics from all forums before I can go to my 'Favorites' tab. I only read about five forums regularly here, and would like to have tapatalk skip the loading of the latest posts from all forums, and just take me directly to my favorites. Does the paid version let you do that?
