Welcome to the Android forums! My first suggestion for you is to download AppBrain from the market. You can find it easily by scanning the following QR code with your favorite bar code scanner app, or by simply searching for AppBrain in the market.
Next go to
AppBrain - the best Android apps and games on the Android market and create an account. You will need to use your google credentials that you used to activate your phone. Trust me this site is legit and safe. Your not actually giving you google credentials to AppBrain. It is simply an interface that you sing into google servers to use.
After all of that, here is a search from AppBrain for "golf":
AppBrain Search For "Golf" and it has a lot of different golf apps. I have not actually tried any of them, but some look promising.
When you find an app you want to install on your phone, simply click the install button for that app on AppBrain. Then open the AppBrain app on your phone and touch manage my apps, sync with AppBrain, and finally, Perform Installs. It will take you to the app page on the market and you can install and/or buy the app from there. When you are done, it AppBrain should automatically take you to the next app, if it doesn't just hit the back button once and AppBrain will take you to the market page for the next app (assuming you are trying to install more than one app).
Hope this helps. I use this app a lot and really like it. The search feature on the AppBrain website is 10,000 times better than the search on the market it's self.
