So the Galaxy S and Galaxy S Pro is coming to Sprint apparently. Both with 4g, but Galaxy Pro has keyboard, and led flash. Hmm With all these problems that are being reported with the EVO, I might have to take a chance with Samsung. I know Samsung hasnt been the best, But Super Amoled, Better Battery Performance, Hummingbird GPU, 1ghz processor...Umm and 4G. Wow I dont Know Folks...I have been faithful to HTC, I dont have a battery problem, But with grounding issues, touch issues, glass separation issues... I just dont know...might be time to Jump ship to Samsung...or atleast give em a chance. As long as its Android...I just want the best Phone Out There

What's the point of this post? If you don't like the Evo return it and get whatever you do like. Whether the Samsung is the best is just a matter of opinion.

If you didnt see a point...Why comment...Go kick rocks.

I love the Evo...but since I see the bottom part of my screen coming up, and it seems that Every other day theres reports of some other problem. I am willing to give another phone a chance. If I wasnt scared of the Evo breaking on me in some way I would keep it. A thinner Phone, with (reported) better battery life, Faster, the 2nd best screen display out next to the iphone 4g. Other than the fact that its a Samsung makes this quite possibly the next best phone. Oh wait And Touchwiz...ugh I hate touchwiz.....Like I said I am just willing to try it...why not...I spent $450 on this phone...I want to be fully satisfied

[EXCLUSIVE] More Pictures of the Galaxy S Pro | Android Community

"Well, it’s safe to say that the cat is out of the bag. And it brought a few other kitties with it. Not only will the Galaxy S Pro release on Sprint soon, the Galaxy S be joining it."

"If you were skeptical about the inclusion of the LED flash and the 4G capabilities, I’m sure the picture above has successfully put those doubts to rest. Although, the tipster didn’t have an official spec sheet, he did say that this shares all the specs as the Galaxy S but has a keyboard"

If the Samsung Galaxy S not the pro is coming to Sprint that would be great as this is Samsung's flagship phone around the world. I would think with a worldwide distribution it would get many quick updates unlike some of there other models. I also think with mass distribution there would be many accessories to follow. I do like the slight smaller size and the recessed home button ( which I bet will wake the phone). I also like the 3 instead of 4 capacitive buttons. I bet battery life ( which isn't that bad on a EVO) would be stellar.

Here is the one thing that drives me crazy with this phone...The micro usb charging port is on the top??????? That would be a deal breaker for me.

I love the fact that it has a keyboard, but hate the fact that it has that display (not so great outside in the sun). Plus it doesn't have Sense UI, and I love Sense. But happy for Sprint getting them. More choices the better.

I read that the Super AMOLED screen is great in the sunlight unlike a regular AMOLED we will have to see. I love my Evo but I have MAJOR light leakage around the whole bottom. :( If the Galaxy S comes out before my 30 days are up I may give it a whirl. MAYBE

Super AMOLED screen, 720p recording at a *true* 30fps (none of this 20fps, insanely low bitrate garbage the EVO spews out), native xvid & divx support!!

So glad I had my family hold off a 5-line EVO upgrade, that idea just got tossed out the window. Looks like I have a few more months of WinMo and SERO in front of me, but the wait will be well worth it. :)

why would u need xvid or divx support and amoled display...for a screen smaller than a gameboy? Are you seriously trying to watch vids on that lil thing?

give EVO software development time to mature. I mean you are free to grab the next best thing that comes out every month, but I've found that most of those folks end up continuously disappointed with every new upgrade they get because they never settle on something & give the product time to mature.

Smaller than a gameboy? I think you have the wrong phone in mind. Galaxy S has a 0.3" smaller screen than the EVO, and same resolution. I've been transcoding xvid TV shows & whatnot for years to watch on portable devices. Having a native xvid/divx player will be fantastic.

Yes super amoled is different in that the touch layer is built directly into the screen so it doesn't have that extra layer on top making it easier to see in the sun.

I'd love to watch movies on my EVO, and they are pretty much the same size. I just don't like the fact that I have to jump through hoops to get them to play on the thing.
My thoughts exactly. I was dismayed at the playback performance reports of yxflash. I really thought the Snapdragon 1Ghz CPU would be able to handle 480p xvid playback, but unfortunately it can't.

Galaxy S has native 720p xvid/divx support. :D
