any good games for evo?

My personal faves are:

Nesoid (Best. App. Ever.)

Raging Thunder 2

Radiant

Super K.O. Boxing! 2 (I'm kinda obsessed with this little gem. Use the online strategy guide if you get stuck)

ExZeus

River Blast (underrated IMO)

Totemo (for when I'm in the mood for a puzzler)

Also, I am eagerly awaiting Need for Speed: Shift, so I am holding off on purchasing Asphalt. Bottom line is that if you only pick one app on this list, go with Nesoid. NES games translate quite well to the phone format...

here are a few I've been playing, but I agree the Android Marketplace has nothing on the Apple app store when it comes to games, Google needs to step up and enforce quality rules for the apps (not censorship like apple, but real quality. no more stupid stick figures! you will note I have quite a few "stick figure" like games however... they are fun, but how do you show off to your friends when your game has stick figures, and their iPhone has full 3D rendered graphics?)

shot 3
wolf shooting
toss it
magic gem
pocket empires online
flight director
robo defense
tetronimo
wordsearch unlimited
gem miner
bubble defense
steelshot
shoot u!
void defence (spelled with a "c")
crystallight defense
spades
dungeon quest
space challenge 3d
space trader beta (the images are stretched on the evo)
super yahtzy
gravity balls
monkey kickoff
blow up
trap!
zenonia
boomex
tiki towers
solitaire free pack
bubbles (the best if you have kids)
head to head racing
craigs race (same game? made by the same developer)
toddler lock
spira defence (again with the "c" same developer)
sudoku (the one with the icon of "the thinker" that sculpture with the dude sitting and leaning his chin on his fist)
papijump
wave defence (same guys again with the "c")
chinese chess (hard as snot, and I really suck at it, my friend has an imported game board and hand carved pieces, I thought this would help me get better)

Looks like the need for speed shift demo is out there. I downloaded the apk from
an xda link after some googling. Just came out a few days ago I think. Large app though
and my evo says there's not enough space to install it.

Do I need to root so I can get this thing on the sd card or what? If so... that's stupid as hell.

Can someone give me a suggestion of a fun cool game? My buddy on has the iPhone and always brags about how many cool games it has and blah blah blah. Suggestions please?;)

I don't play games on my phone.

I'm too busy not losing calls.

Or using it as an eBook reader because the screen isn't tiny.

Or listening to my FM radio without using a data network.

Or streaming radio without caring about my data costs because they're included.

Or doing Skype videochats to desktops without needing wifi and not caring about data costs.

Or providing a hotspot so iPhone 4 kids can see how fun it is to videochat with other iPhone 4 kids.

Or putting up the kickstand and catching the WC on Sprint TV and not caring about data costs.

Or letting the talking translator speak for me with my foreign visitors.

For actual games, I could buy one of those dedicated hand-held gameboy thingies or whatever they're called. I could do that with the money I save not being on AT&T.

But my favorite game today with an iPhone is pointing out how I'd be interested in that too if my phone didn't work and my network sucked.

The only winning move is not to play.

How about a nice game of chess?

No kidding.

It's great seeing that people are enjoying PhoneFraze and recommending it to others in this thread! It is definitely a great way to showcase your new EVO to all of your friends... after spending so much time working on it, we still enjoy playing it with friends all the time. Check out our newest social game PhoneCharades too!

As far as 3d games that will just straight up impress people watching you play your phone, backbreaker football is pretty tough to beat. That is an extremely hot app!

just read an article the other day on this subject. right now, games and androids don't really go together. give it a year or so, and the android game selection should be just as robust as the iphone
i'm sure they've been saying this since Android was released, "oh just wait a year" :D

I can't stop playing FF3/6 on SNESoid.

However I play Air Control and Homerun Battle 3d to.

Hoping for a good FF like RPG made for Android to come out soon.
