Remember the iPhone has more universal appeal. And it's actually apart of modern culture. My grandma knows what an iPhone is, whereas Evo (let alone Android) she's never heard of.

Any idiot can see the Evo has way more functionality and customization. That's all you need. Apple fanboys think just cause Apple was at the top they deserve to stay there even while the world and technology has passed it by. No company stays on top forever. I really waited for Symbian to be what I wanted - Javascript that really worked and a solid functionality from phone to phone.

I really waited for the iPhone to be what I wanted - not on the AT&T net.

I really waited for the OpenMoko to be what I wanted - something I could configure and control and USE without resorting to TrollTech software.

I really waited for Android to be what I wanted - not fragmented and still at revision 1.something.

I really waited for a smartphone to be what I wanted - something that can work documents on and visit my clients' sometimes javascript-rich and youtube-rich websites with.

I really waited for touchscreens to be what I wanted - big enough for these old eyes and 10 thumbs to be useful with.

While I waited, I went through a few phones.

Now, I have an Evo and I'm happy.

I was in Best Buy yesterday picking up a new case for my EVO and i couldnt help but play with the 3gs iphone. Sure i used to own iphones but its amazing how fast memories fade. I couldnt believe the small screen. I have only had my EVO for about a week and i was amazing how fast the 4.3 inch screen has now ruined me. A week ago i was using a 3.2 inch hero. Now i dont know how i will ever be able to go any smaller. I really hope phone makers in the future keep this sweet size for screens. I was slightly nervous that the phone would be too big. Its not at all.

My iphone fanboy friend wants to meet for lunch and play around with my EVO. He already preordered the iphone 4. I told him he better not even hold the evo or he will hate his new iphone regardless of pixel density BS.

HTC really found the perfect size with the evo. I'm now forever spoiled on 4.3.

Its like having 3g and then going back to using 2g. You just cant.

here is my guess....

over 95% iphone users are not into technical stuff and dont care about online forums or Polls.

EVO owners are more techie.. and visit forums to customize our phones. So we are more likely to see these polls and make votes.

soooooo.... IMHO these polls are very lop-sided and bias.

BTW.. i voted EVO... go EVO!!!!!
