Help Removing Apps that came with Droid?

OK how do you delete factory installed apps. I know how to delete downloaded apps, but I don't give a rats ass about Amazon mp3 and about five other factory apps. Want them gone! How do you do that?

I feel the same about the visual voicemail app, I am never gonna pay $2.99 for it so why do i need the icon for it. Too bad you can't atleast hide the icons like you can on a Blackberry

You don't. They are part of the factory ROM and can't be removed.
I'm annoyed because I have several 'factory installed'(?) apps on my hTC DesireZ which are, quite literally, useless. They are all web links, with entirely unrelated icons, to a Vodafone page which advises me about "Travelling Abroad"!
Most annoyingly, there are two 'Music' icons, one of which takes me to the music feature on the phone, the other to the said Vodafone web page. (There is a Vodafone icon which takes me to the very same page!)
I also have a 'Who2Call' app which I can't use because it appears to be set up for Vodafone or 3 Australia. I presume that means Vodafone in Australia as well because, when I'm asked to check my number, it won't let me enter all the digits.
I see it's a couple of years since the first post on this topic so does anyone have any ideas now?
