Yep, 4 capacitive buttons instead of the 2 + large home button you can see on the original:
I'm also pretty stoked about this part of the presser:
In addition, the Samsung Captivate is designed with a six-axis sensor that combines the smartphone’s accelerometer and gyroscope to provide a smooth, fluid gaming experience when the user is tilting the device up or down or panning the phone to the left or right.
Hmm, maybe I'm reading too much in here... One of the annoying things about the international version is that the "home" screen is the far left screen, not the center one. Looking at pictures of the Captivate, they have the google widget (notice google, not yahoo?) front and center on the center home screen. I wonder if that means the captivate's home button defaults to the center screen. Would be really nice if it did!
Also, the back looks significantly different. The whole back doesn't look like it comes off on this one.
Not to mention the sides have a more modern, less iPhone feel.
I'm liking it!
Now, put the thing in my grubby little hands sometime in July, and I'll be a happy camper.
Forgive me if I don't cry any tears for our Verizon friends who've had access to the Droid for 6 months, the Droid Incredible for 2 months, and the Droid X "coming soon". This is our first real Android phone. We're gonna party for a while, if you don't mind.

That was my first thought too, but if you look at photo of the Galaxy S above, one of those looks like it is defaulting to the middle screen as well. Maybe it'll be customizable?
I love the phone and right now it is between the Dell Streak and this but my ONLY complaint is no flash. Why no flash for the 5MP Camera? This makes it impossible to take pictures at night. Any insight on this?
What about the ability to upgrade to android 2.2. Will we be able too? I want flash on this phone. Don't make me go to Verizon for the Motorola X. I will have to buy overalls to fit the phone in my pockets.
