City That Never Sleeps!
Ladies and gentlemen if you are having problems with your new HTC Evo please go to where you got it or directly to Sprint as I did and GET A NEW ONE!!!!!!!

Its a brand new phone problems are going to exist as it is the nature of ANYTHING this new and advanced. While TRUST me I understand the frustration of paying this much for a new phone and having to take it back for lack of a better word sucks. But hey could be worse, like them not taking it back, then your screwed.

Bitching and whining on a forum how much HTC blows etc etc helps none of us. I had 10 Blackberry Curves sent to me by Sprint when they first came out and holy crap each one they sent was worse then the other until one day I finally received one not built on a friday, quality control? These things are pumped out like eggs in a hen house are you kidding me?

If you have an issue ANY issues with it bring it up to Sprint and HTC if WE dont say anything trust me they wont DO anything. Even if you keep it make Sprint and HTC aware to cover your as* down the road.

And PLEASE get the $7.00 insurance from Sprint, why would you not? Dont put the condom on if your not going to ****!

And if you think this HTC has issues look at the iphone forums when that thing was released, iphone fanboy's STFU really.

With that said godamn I love this can I call it a phone? Hands down the best SMARTphone to date, period.

Despite its small issues once I root this damn thing "The World Is MINE!!!!!" I have the grounding issue and I just called Sprint as I ordered mine online June 4th and a new one has already been processed and ships later today.

Amen, Praise Flaming Big Butter Touchdown Jeebus! People really need to stop complaining when their first off the shelf brand new pre-ordered tech doesn't have every issue worked out from day 1. Do you think they tested 100k of these for 6 months in ready to release form? There is not a product you can buy that can't suffer from this same ordeal when they come out new. That's why companies have warranties, to keep you happy in case something screws up before a certain time. If you want it to be solid and the best it can be, wait a year after it comes out.

I have several friends who went through 3 or 4 Iphones when they were having all the touchscreen problems and quality control issues. It is the price you have to pay to be the first at bat. Happens with anything new and cool that gets rushed to market because we as buyers demand to have it NOW. Same issues with the people who want to be the first to drive the new body style of ANY new model car. It really is amazing how many people get bent out of shape about this stuff. At the end of a day, it is just a hunk of glass and metal that was built and assembled on the otherside of the world in a way shorter time frame than we could ever imagine.

I am definitely thinking of doing that too due to issues that I am having with my phone...I ordered mine from sprint.com...is that where you ordered yours from originally??? also since they are sending you a new one are you able to hold on to your existing one till the new one arrives? and after that are you supposed to send back the old one or just take it back to a sprint store? sorry just wondering how this will work out...thanks and good luck with the new one!!!

I bought mine on launch day June 4th at 12:01 am as soon as they became available from the Sprint website.

You keep the one you have until the new one or newer one arrives.

The new one will come with a return package, pack the phone in the original box you got it with, cables and all. Drop it off at a UPS facility or mail boxes etc what ever is easier keep the tracking slip.

Sprint will charge your account for the new phone they ship again until they get the returned phone and then will credit your account, really no big deal.

Tracking mine now looks like it should be here tommorow.

My camera won't focus, so I'd LOVE to...except the Radioshack where I got it said they wouldn't be able to replace it for 2-3 months due to supply issues, and Sprint won't replace it unless I go through the insurance company. I like my EVO, but I may be returning it solely based on the fact that I neither want to spend $100 on a refurb or wait until the end of summer to take a photo.

Going on vacation next week too, which makes it all really suck.

That's kind of hard to do when everywhere is sold out of um! I have an issue with my front-facing camera not working. Like a sucker, I bought it from lousy Best Buy. When I took it back in to get replaced they told me they can't exchange it because they don't have any, and they have no idea when they will get more. So, do I just live with a phone that everything works perfectly on except the front-facing camera? Or do I send it off for repair and be without a phone for a month?

There are no new phones to exchange for because obviously HTC didn't learn their lesson with the Incredible. This lack of inventory isn't creating buzz and hype for the EVO, it's pushing more and more people to pre-order an iPhone every single day!

They were available on the Sprint website as of 10:00 am EST yesterday, I waited 1 day for a new one.

Guys getting them from BB or RS is great but who do you think HTC will supply first the provider (Sprint) or there sub sellers?

The reason I buy from Sprint.
