Ok, I've come to the realization that I really really like the EVO. Build Quality issues and all, I just simply like it. The size is perfect, I like the Sprint service so far, Honestly people need to get off the Sprint has crappy service train. I have not dropped 1 call in almost 2 weeks of service, and have nothing but good to say about there customer service.

Moving along, I picked mine up at best buy on the 4th, Pre-ordered and all. I have had some build quality issues ranging from the screen raising up, some specs of dust under the screen, and the resessed sleep button. As well as some tuch sensitive issues with the touch buttons. And guess what, I still love it. If I didnt have those issues, I'd say it would have to be the best phone I've ever owned, and I've owned alot.

Best Buy just keeps giving me the......We still dont have them in stock story, and they dont know when they'll get them back in stock story. Mean while I was told this week for sure by someone last week. I just called before and the guy said they might not be back in stock until July.
Well I called my local Sprint owned Company store, and they said come on down we just got a bunch in. Well looks like I'm going to have to return at the BB, and go with Sprint. What good is it to have insurance with them, and buy from them if you cant ever get another one if god forbid you have a problem. Heres to praying I dont get a lemon from Sprint!

I got mine at Radio Shack and the Sprint store with service center is swapping it out for me not Radio Shack, they gave me the run around also. Try that. They also called the warehouse and said they had a few in stock so a new shipment must have just arrived.

I bet BB will all of a sudden have some when you go to return it....Post back when you are done! I want to know what happens.

I'd stay away from Sprint! Should you have to submit an insurance claim on it, you're going to have to pay $150 deductable (from what I've been told), and when you get yours replaced, it's a refurbished one and they don't cover accidental claims.

Best Buy on the other hand you only pay $10/mo ($120/yr), if you file a claim, they set you up with a loaner. If they can't fix it, they issue you a new one (no refurb). PLUS they cover accidental damage and water damage (in some stores). I just got my two HTCs covered last night. Paying $20/mo, and in a few months when there have been new EVOs manufactured and problems fixed, I'm going to file a claim and get me a new one. ;)

...ooops I dropped my phone in a puddle getting out of my car. ;)

One way to lessen the hassle of waiting for the rebate when you buy it from Sprint is to charge it to your account. Ask them if you have a spending limit on your account.

If you don't they can charge it to your account and you won't get billed until your next billing cycle. That way you're not out your $100 for very long. It's also nice to not have to pay anything while you try a phone out for your first 30 days.

Agreed, I have no issues whatsoever with Sprint or their service.

I have not dropped 1 call in almost 2 weeks of service, and have nothing but good to say about there customer service.
Sounds like a previous AT&T customer. I have NEVER dropped a Sprint call. It boggles my mind some AT&T customers are so infatuated with the iPhone they say "yeah, I drop a few calls, I just call 'em back, not a bid deal" yikes.

HTC'S build quality really sucks. I have NEVER had an HTC device without some MAJOR defect.

I just hope Google hurries up with a polished OS to actually compete with iOS4.
Nobody would deny that Apple's platform is waaaay more polished. Google has way more resources than Apple, they should be able to release a platform that blows Apple out of the water with version 1.0.

@Sean76, thanks for post, same story, Preorder 2 Evos, bb told me I was SOL because waiting list and would not extend exchange time because of waiting list and I should go through sprint insurance, yea right, called sprint store, ordered mine, will be in 10 days, will activate with sprint and will return my light leaker. Will lose my # but have Google voice. Evo has changed my life, great phone just want sealed screen. Point is, these forums inform and help. Thanks for giving me an out. BB also messed up my wife's discount, they act like they care but will stick it to you when ever they can. Go to corp store you will have sprint's rep behind it. I am silver rewards member @ bb, they still don't care. Sorry for rambling but wanted to get word out because I have lost sleep over this and I don't want this to happen to anyone else.
