So my dad said if I give him my incredible he'd buy me a moto x using his upgrade, so I'm stool on the fence about it not sure if its worth losing sense and the amoled screen. So my first question is what are the differences ui wise, does stock android integrate your contacts with facebook via the link tool? What is known about shadow blur? Is there any flash support for this phone, like flash light. If it gets rooted do you think there's any way to get sense on there?

Thanks

I think I actually decided I'm not going to losing the ability to edit text with the optical joystick sense ui integration of facebook with my people the unbeatable prior widget and bookmarks widget and the amoled screen doesnt seem worth gaining a half an inch larger screen and hdmi when inc has tv out. Idk am I missing anything? No front facing camera right?

If you want the bigger screen, Moto X is the way to go. Everything else I've seen says it's pretty similar to the Incredible, which is why I find it humorous Engadget made it sound like this thing will make the Incredible obsolete. Sick phone, indeed, but so is the Incredible. For me, personally, the Moto X is just way too massive for a "phone." I'd actually prefer the Droid 2.

I have an incredible, i`ve been using sense since windows mobile....im going to miss it. and u reminded of specifically what i`ll be missing!
but, its time to step into the next advancement in technology for me. i have a computer repair business and that bigger screen will HELP!
plus faster processor! its own GPU thats actually REALLY good!
the phone is going to be fast! its not that much bigger than the incredible either.
also, once its rooted.......back to sense i go :D
i am going to use GDE the desktop app and make something real cool with a 3-d cube until its rooted. i seen an HTC clock/weather widget i know i can put on there for the look of sense...not sure if it has the animated weather...i was over that anyway really.

i love these "justifying my purchase. because i want the X" threads

lets be sincere here. the inc is a nice phone. its great for the average user that cant stand lag and needs mobile internet.
the X is a big phone which can do all that and more..its just bigger, with a better processor and gpu. Techinically, it is capable of performing better and so it has if you search.

moto x is the better phone. look at the MAIN hardware. The fact that you even question it makes me wonder.

justify away.

droid X is massive - larger than the EVO 4G. As long as size is not a concern, the X will be a great phone. For me I prefer something that actually fits in my pocket.

It isnt actually that much bigger then the incredible if you see they have pics with the incredbile, evo, moto droid and droid x all next to each other and it isn't really that "massive" as you say

Well I just came from the at&t nexus one and and am using the motorola droid while I wait for the droid x. The speaker on the motorola droid is so much louder and clearer than the nexus one. So if the speaker on droid x is anything like the droid then I will be very happy.

seriously people get off the not fitting in a pocket deal. Its going to be a fairly thin phone. Unless you're a pixie or a 85 lb girl wearing painted on jeans, the phone will fit in a freaking pocket.

Motorola >>> HTC in terms of build quality and reception so for me it would be an easy choice. I skipped on the Incredible after seeing all of the cracked screens and feeling one in person. My Droid just feels higher quality.

HAHA, i believe many of us are banking on the build quality of the X.
I have messed around with a incredible. To me personally, something about it just doesnt feel right.

Do most phones have compatabile sense roms, Id be much more comfortable with switching if i knew i could get sense later on down the line

sense is htc intellectual property..... but i don't see why someone would not do it. I mean, i expect this to be a hot topic.

I was thinking of doing the same thing with my girlfriend as well, she has an upgrade later in the summer (she also just bought the Eris so the Inc would be a HUGE step up). My fear is that the Moto X makes the Inc look kinda small and puney--like the Eris does now.

And, sine no 3rd party company has made a better battery cover for the Inc, I could finally get rid of the damn ridges!

I learned something today. I can't operate without Sense UI. I'm coming over to Android from Windows Mobile. I use the phone for work. Here's what i learned. I installed Launcher Pro Beta, which is a GREAT shell. The only problem is that I lost the HTC Sense UI widgets when I went to the Launcher Pro screen. I NEED a scrolling widget for my calendar to be on one of the home screens. There wasn't any that I could find, anywhere, made for android. Had I been able to find it I would have stayed with Launcher Pro Beta. I deleted it and understood that I needed Sense UI. Also, when I saw the first Moto Blur on the Devour, I frankly detested it. Hate would be a better word. In any event, perhaps they've fixed up Blur for this next phone.

I've thought about it and because of my age (reading vision issues), my next phone after the DInc is going to be a bigger 4" plus phone.

To each his own.
