Accessories Seidio Innocase scratching my phone...anyone else?

So I took my Innocase off today to give my phone a good wipedown and I noticed that its starting to scratch the entire left side of the phone. There is scratches on the glass portion of the phone from about the middle of the phone all the way to the upper left corner. The case does not seem to be fitting perfectly but not so bad I immediately thought something was wrong. Anybody else experiencing this problem? I pre-ordered the Ash Grey color so maybe it is just an early screw up?

If you google this topic, you will find other people with similar complaints. Both of my previous blackberry's had scratches around the bezel of the phone from their Innocases. On the Blackberry's, it wasn't on the screen, so didn't really bother me... but I don't plan on putting an Innocase on this phone.

Instead of the Ash Grey Innocase, I would recommend trying their Active cases, it's a softer material that goes around the front of the phone.

My first Seidio case didn't fit correctly. Seidioseidio (on this site) immediately jumped on my problem and had a new case sent to me. I've had the new one for about a week and it fits great, unfortunately it is now scratched all around the bezel. I took the case off this morning and noticed my beautiful Incredible is now all scratched up...sucks

The felt lining on my case only touches the rubberized back, not the glass bezel of the phone...makes sense

any case can damage the phone if you don't take it off periodically and clean the inside of the case. even a felt lined case can cause damage if enough dust, dirt, and random small particles get in between the case and the phone. this is the reason why it's important to remove any case you use maybe once a week or so and either wipe it out and/or hit it with compressed air.

Not true. I've had the Verizon High Gloss Silicone case on my Incredible since I got the phone on 4/27. I've taken it off maybe twice (once to swap SD card, once to put on screen protector). The second time was just a week or two ago and my Incredible was still flawless.

Mine Innocase hasn't scratched mine, but after they dropped the compatible dock/cradle for the Innocase I have on reason to own it over the Active case. I'm selling my Innocase on Ebay and going to give the Active case a shot, if I like it then ProClip will be my caseless mount and I'll deal with taking the case off. It's ridiculous that nobody is in the market to make really great accessories for these devices except chinese knock offs.

just because it hasn't happened to you doesn't mean it won't or can't happen. there are people with the seidio case who haven't had any damage either.

the point is that if you were to get dust or dirt in between your verizon case and the phone (which obviously you haven't) then it could scratch the phone.

I've owned cases from case-mate, otterbox, verizon, and Seidio. With Seidio, I've owned the Innocase and Innocase II... BOTH have scratched my BB's, while none of the other brands have. I am not convinced it's dust or dirt that is causing the issue. I kind of wonder if it has something to do with the snapping in and out of the holster all the time. The Innocase's are the only ones that I have used with a holster.

Wow, Seidio is dropping the ball all over the place. I'd be infuriated if the case, the sole purpose of which is to protect the phone from cosmetic imperfections, was itself causing the scratches.

Funny thing, Seidio pretty much owns the Phandroid Store.

I wonder what the site owner would do if he found out about their fake 1750mah battery and Case Scratchers.
