So, finally satisfied with my battery life.

So here's my story. I use "Advance Task killer" and ONLY kill apps that I initiate such as games/pandora/etc. I also do the charging trick to calibrate the battery to prevent it from dropping 10% in ten minutes. Turned off auto-synch/background data and pair that with a Sprint Airave and my phone lasts quite a while. Took my phone off charge at 5pm yesterday, it's now almost 3 am. So ten hours (100 texts, 30 minutes of listening to music, some facebook browsing, WIFI on) and I'm at 78% still.

I guess it having poor signal around my house (before airave which I got for free and I recommend to anyone) was what was killing the battery.

Great job brotha' :)

This is why I mostly ignore people whining about battery life. Too many variables that they aren't disclosing when they complain to really diagnose their true battery life.

Always best to do what Brian360 did... test things and figure it out for yourself ;)

I got great battery life, all i turned off a few things don't need to run all the time (4g, wifi, haptic feedback turned off the auto brightness and use the power control widget to adjust the screen). I still have friend stream and the news syncing every 4hrs and the weather every 3hrs. On a normal day of for me, my phone is off the charger by 4:45am and when i get home around 3:30pm i have at least 60% left. I text all day, use the internet, watch some youtube vids, play games, and playing with the camrea sometimes. i use start up cleaner 2.0 to stop stuff like sprint tv, sprint zone and other stuff that doesn't need to run at start up. Yesterday i just got my seidio 1750mah extended battery, so i will see how much more battery life i will get now.

FYI you don't need to turn off background data. Just shut down Mobile Data, switch on WiFi to never sleep and only use Mobile Data when you're out and about and you need to.

I'm at 14 hours with 69% battery. What kills this phone is that stupid CDMA 3G radio, it's a POS.

Note, you will not get email when you have Mobile Data off, but you will get Text.

So people are happy having to A) add a HW device to get even a basic phone signal and B) pay $10 extra per month for the privilege of the 'advanced device'. P.T. Barnum WAS right.
