Lol so ya.

I want to know you guys opinion of this phone is.

I'm with sprint with an evo. I'm starting to hate it do to some hardware issue with HTC and bad signal with sprint.

I love HTC in a way because they make some sexy devices however I'm starting to realise that while they are pretty they aren't built the best

So is this a great phone for a new possible t-mobile customer

Keep in mind I'm pretty familiar with android with the Droid, Eris, hero, incredible and now this evo.

Thanks in advance guys(and girls)

umm, This is my first smartphone, And i think its great. I love motoblur and the way it works as a whole, a little slow at times( i think its the 1.5). I used my friends hero a couple of times and i didn't like it as much as my xt! But you do have to know that motorola is VERY slow when it come to updates! thats the only thing i hate about it;/ I think if you do switch over and you really want a good phone, i would recommend the nexus one. yes it might be a little expensive but you get your money's worth. with that phone you know that you will get your updates right away and it should always work flawless. sooo whatever you choose is good. hope that helps;)

May I ask what some of your issues are with the Sprint EVO? I almost wanted one and if I were on Sprint I probably would've gotten it. It'd be nice to hear what sucks about it so I know I'm not really missing out on much.

Also, if you do plan on joining the T-Mobile family and switching to the Cliq XT, bring your patience with you. All of us know by now how slow Motorola is with their Android updates; we're all stuck in the Dark Ages of Android 1.5 while everyone else is enjoying 2.1+ - the release was scheduled for April - June of this year, and as the days pass on, we're all beginning to lose hope that the update will come in time. Just something to bear in mind before you switch.

Oh, and don't hate on HTC just because you had a bad experience with one of their phones in particular. Give 'em another shot; if I were you, I'd switch to the Nexus One as Mitch earlier mentioned. Known to be one of the fastest-performing Android phones since it's powered by Google themselves, and because of that, you'll be getting updates immediately unlike us Cliq XT owners.

...but, the choice is yours.

Seriously dude??

Anyway

1)I'm not exactly hating on HTC but more like im losing love for them-I've had HTC eris, Htc hero and now an Evo...

they make beautiful devices(the best yet for android) and I personally think that all that is pretty on the outside is extremely bad on the inside

Case in point, the eris has so many complaints with it yet it looks gorgeous

the hero is also in the same issue

Idk how sprint is in your area but the sprint coverage around me was subpar at best...

1)thats one reason 2 leave
2)HTC screens are known to be separating from the device(lurk in the incredible and evo forums)
3)My webcam literally works when it wants
4)My phone started random reboots and freezing

Even with all this happening i would still keep the Evo because i love it...except its tied to sprint...

As far as the cliq, i played with one and had i actually had t-mobile and i haven't already experienced 2.1, it would be my device...

I wound up and getting the droid

well I have tend cliq xt and am loving the swype feature.it might take a while to save all the words I use like slang and since i type in spanish but its worth the wait and work cuz it makes the phone so much easier type on.its my first android device and im loving it. Cant wait for the 2.1 update though hoping it makes the phone a little faster.
And since they're taking forever maybe they're gonna make it 2.2, .

Besides that i have had no other issues. And that's from an iphone, hate that shit.lol
