I really don't feel the need to root my phone simply because I don't want to mess things up. But I would like to get the wifi tether working by the unrevoked method.

For those that have done this, have you noticed any problems so far?...or is it all rainbows and butterflies??!!!

Its Rainbows and butterflies. I did this at first and it was super easy and your phone is basically the same after its rooted. It really is simple. No Issues for me. I have since though moved to a full root running Fresh 0.3. So if you decide to move to full root you could even after using unrevoked method.

Unrevoked isn't true root and they never publicized how it works so I am a little unsure overall. Uninstalled it myself. That said.... it is easy and it works. It basically lets you install things that require superuser and as such lets you use apps that require access to system files. If its not your thing, check out pdanet for usb tendering without root or superuser.

Neo, I totally understand that. If it doesn't jack up my phone, I am totally cool with it. I am not looking for "true root". I just wanted wifi tether. that is simply all I wanted. And it worked very well. As long as there are no "side effects", I will keep it. If there is, I will uninstall.
